I think it's just enjoyable to see the usual stuff...badgers and poor baby birds snatched by rats - we love voles here ! and ospreys... and yes, it always seems to be almost into summer !

We still have hundreds of bluebells up here... but then that's Scotland for you I s'pose. Takes our temperatures a wee while to catch up.

Hope they do get to film the wildcat though.

Oh I love watchng it. Its made me more aware of the wildlife around me. Like the foxes in our car park at 4am All Bill needs is a pointy hat and a fishing rod and he could be a garden gnome

Think Bill Oddie is becoming a bit of a dirty old man TBH, my 6,7,and 10 yr olds didn't need to hear him going "phwoar he's gonna give er one in a minute"!!!!

He'll be wearing grubby raincoats next.

I wish they would cut out Bill Oddie and Kate Odder and just keep Simon King. He's fab and the locations he goes to are so much more interesting than boring old Devon and Norfolk (especially the current one )

I used to live within 10 miles of where he's filming. It's absolutely fab. There was a film crew outside our house the other week - I'm really hoping they were filming something for Springwatch so I'm watching avidly.

And the wildcat - wow! Amazing to think of something so closely related to our domestic pets and yet so wild. Really sad about the crested tits though.

We saw what we believed to be a wildcat on Islay, and were lucky enough to spend a whole hour watching an otter and her babies there too (right after the warden at the RSPB centre said she hadn't seen an otter for over two years!!!)

How fabulous to see the wildcat! I didn't think for a second that they would get it on film. Beautiful Puss!

Very sad about the crested tits, sooo cruel. But that's the way it goes I guess.

I really like Simon King. Bill Oddie really annoys me and now I don't even have the amusement of DD1 mispronouncing his name as 'Body' which really tickled me last year. DD1 loves the Cbeebies version (and I think I prefer that one as well!!!oopps - is it too late to grow up?)

Agree Simon King is great - I would love a job like that. Or like that guy the other night who has pine martens in his loft! What a lovely lifestyle it would be.
