What HAS Thomas been doing.

Thomas has been trying quack conversion therapy. Everyone is so understanding, I'm not sure that really reflects the general thinking of the time.

Meanwhile at the Bates's cottage, Mr Bates has got the hump about the "Cunning Equipment" and thinks Anna is using it to avoid bringing a little Bates into the world. Bates admits he knows who attacked Anna. Ooh, this is a pickle.

Now that really would grab the attention of everyone in the Drawing Room and Mr Aldridge really would know what they were like
