They seem to have run out of ideas for this family. This birth mother thing has been done before. It was boring. Contrived situations, rows, endless holidays , motor homes, home makeovers, overindulgence and greed at Christmas and birthdays, weddings, expensive purchases etc no longer interest viewers. Don’t they make enough money from social media to maintain their now lavish lifestyle?

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 17/07/2025 17:21

I just knew you would be doing a thread on the new series.

Typical of them to make a big drama about trying to find / finding his mum.

what other ' stories ' can they come up with for this series.

Shame it's all changed so much from the first few series, it's all money money money now for them and...holidays !

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/07/2025 17:26

You know me @OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon

but yes the original ones were much better

before the did their million holidays a year

I find some of it is in such bad taste but hey if it brings in the £££££ 🙄

Particularly the pregnancy dramas and sad events. The latest which is teased every time I switch on my TV is Noel's birth mother meeting. Is this a very recent story or have they rehashed it? We see him in the room and the door opening but then it cuts out.

Did he or is he really letting millions of viewers see such a private moment? I can't believe it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/07/2025 18:42

Sure they rehashed it

Wonder what the birth mum once found out he’s the 22kids dad etc

and had a brother - he’s now has 21 niece and nephews and 12 great n/n

the Christmas’s are going to get costly if they meet up and get on

I’m watching this and finding it uncomfortable viewing. The whole focus of it seems to be for the cameras (much like all of this family’s activities), no mention of support, etc.
The part that really stands out for me is Sue saying she doesn’t want to know anything about her birth parents because she can’t imagine giving up a child. Staggers me, hearing her say that. Has she really never had counselling to discuss this? It’s obviously fine to choose not to contact them. But to not be able to imagine any circumstance where you give up a child is a bit odd.

PandyMoanyMum · 20/07/2025 20:48

Agree @NightPuffins. Sue had a lot of support around her with keeping her children.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/07/2025 21:18

Be totally diff if her adoptive mum said you have to give up

but she had support

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/07/2025 21:36

I did wonder why she didn’t want her face or voice known

embarrassed

OP posts:
NightPuffins · 20/07/2025 23:01

She probably didn’t want to become publicly known. I wouldn’t! Not because there’s any shame in the situation, but the way the press and social media would pick up on her. And not just her - her husband, younger son, his wife and children probably.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/07/2025 13:22

That’s a good point @NightPuffins

wonder if they will be in each others lives

meet his brother

Noel always looks rather smug to me. It could just be the way his face is arranged. Who knows?

Folks, do you realise you can follow a thread by just clicking to follow it? You don’t need to add a comment to say you are following. Commenting to join in the conversation and chat with other people is a better option.

purpleme12 · 22/07/2025 23:34

No I didn't realise that

NightPuffins · 22/07/2025 23:44

Yep, just click on the three dots at the top of a thread and you’ll find the option to follow. I think actually it says watch, but the same thing.

purpleme12 · 22/07/2025 23:46

Ok will do that next time

MonickerMonica · 23/07/2025 00:19

I just click on Watch then can keep up with posts even if I don't contribute. Then when my interest fades I click Unwatch.

Voila 👍
