Brilliant!

Myfridgeiscool · 02/07/2025 22:46

Was so pleased to see this!

EveryKneeShallBow · 03/07/2025 08:26

Yay!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 03/07/2025 09:08

I'm looking forward to all the quirkiness of it, someone who does bonkers, unwearable stuff, two people who I constantly confuse with each other until eventually I can tell them apart and one of them instantly leaves, someone who does floaty stuff that always looks 4 sizes too big and they really struggle with a 'fitted' challenge, the one who never shuts up, the one who is desperately nervous but is supported by everyone else and is much more confident by the time they leave, Patrick being handsome, enigmatic and twice the height of Esme, Esme pulling at a badly finished seam and having the whole thing come apart.

I thought the quality of sewing and skill of the contestants last year was really poor compared to earlier years. I'm not sure if it was compounded by overly stringent time constraints. I really really hope it's better this year. As a (completely average!) sewer myself I found it almost unwatchable last year.

BestIsWest · 03/07/2025 19:53

Hurray!

skippy67 · 03/07/2025 20:05

Love Sewing Bee!

TheeNotoriousPIG · 03/07/2025 20:43

I hope that the latest contestants are chosen for their sewing abilities, rather than their personalities! Quite frankly, their abilities and the resulting garments are what makes me watch the show, not someone's personality. I still hark back to the days of Ann from S1, Riccardo's Victorian swimwear and Clare, the 1940's hospital consultant.

I am by no means a professional seamstress, but even I find it hard to watch when everything is thrown together, rather than sewn together!

unsurewhattodoaboutit · 03/07/2025 20:54

I’ve started dressmaking myself now so this will add even more interest to it. Can’t wait.

PullTheBricksDown · 15/07/2025 16:48

Yay!

almondcroissantsatdawn · 15/07/2025 16:52

Yay

Hatty65 · 15/07/2025 16:55

Hooray! Let's hope they can bloody sew this year.

I'm not interested in watching a 'member of the Queer community' make a pig's ear of the pattern challenge. I don't give a crap who you sleep with, or what your sexuality is. I want to be impressed by your sewing skills.

CaptainMyCaptain · 15/07/2025 17:10

It looks like there are quite a few experienced sewists this year as opposed to people who taught themselves to sew 6 months ago. I'll be watching.

doonaduvet · 15/07/2025 17:14

Why is Sara Pascoe back? I liked Kiell.

Me too

Bbq1 · 15/07/2025 17:26

Can't stand Sara Pascoe. I really liked Kiell. Never mind, will have to suck it up.

Hatty65 · 15/07/2025 17:31

Yeah, I don't like Sara Pascoe. I don't find her funny, or a good presenter. I quite liked Joe.

BestIsWest · 15/07/2025 17:50

I like Sara Pascoe. Was she on maternity leave?

Davros · 15/07/2025 18:00

I’m really looking forward to this but have to wait to watch with DD.
I wish these programmes would drop the “comedy” turns as presenters

Laska2Meryls · 15/07/2025 19:29

Yay! Can't wait!!!

TokyoSushi · 15/07/2025 20:55

Love the Sewing Bee!

Haggisfish3 · 15/07/2025 21:02

Yay! Here we go!

MoltenLasagne · 15/07/2025 21:03

Checking in!

EverybodysALebowski · 15/07/2025 21:05

Adore Esme's dress!
