Ugh. Seema always wearing brown. Just why? And it never looks like couture like the others always wear. Can she not have some structure, interest, tailoring and something that actually brings out her stunning caramel skin and striking beauty. Am I mad or is she an absolute knockout? She dresses like someone’s nan. She should be shining.

I thought she looked great albeit a bit too brown. She even rocked an eye patch fgs!

I'm not the biggest Miranda fan, but I thought her bringing up the problem with Aidan and then backing off perplexed and scared when Carrie reacted so negatively was reminiscent of the best of SATC. Both of them are annoying, but neither is wrong, and the way they dance around the issue is an interesting reflection on the boundaries of their friendship.

Loved Harry finally telling the truth and acknowledging that Charlotte needed to be able to talk to her friends openly; it should have always been obvious but at least now it's out in the open. I also really liked the dynamic of a more-assertive-than-usual Rock very confidently telling big sister Lily to get it together for Charlotte's sake.

I think Seema looks good in anything, but she is very much a powder keg about to explode, however that ends up happening!

Due to Chris noth behaviour they they they killed him off and made him seem to be unloved by Carrie. He was her greatest love not Aidan

harry gave Charlotte the best pressure of truth - now tell the kids

Have we confused Bitsy with Bunny? The actress playing Bunny, Trey’s mother, sadly passed. Loved her massive crystal clutch bag at the party.
Loved Anthony’s MIL dilemmas. AJLT and SATC do MILs brilliantly.
Gardener definitely rocked the karaoke, which could have been a bit cringe.
Carrie was definitely on the defensive about Aiden and ‘20 years’ my arse.

I haven’t read any new comments but my thoughts:

There was a caterer @TheStroppyFeminist . Very tall, pink haired lady who came in to the teeny tiny kitchen while Miranda read a bit of Carrie’s dreadful novel. Not sure whether she brought anything more than cake, though! And hot gardener was holding an orange drink that looked like neat Aperol.

I thought that was a really shit episode. Was nearly ffing through the party. Why was Miranda acting so weird?? ‘Girls just want to have fun’ etc. She seemed deranged. Party looked crap overall.

Hated Guiseppe’s mother (sorry Patty).

Cannot believe Beardy Serious Writerman would think Carrie’s crappy sounding book was amazing. And vice versa.

I basically only liked Harry and Charlotte (again). and Shoe

Shoe was impeccable. She didn’t flinch when the balloon burst. My feline babies would have demanded a balloon each and ended up running around with them with the strings in their mouths, causing precious things to be knocked off surfaces (speaking from bitter experience).

The party looked crap! Was that the best they could muster? The harsh lighting was really annoying me. And the way the chairs were all at the edge of the room like a hall. Maybe that was on purpose.

I knew Carrie and neighbour would hook up the minute they met. He is more her type than wet old Aiden. She needs to get rid now.

The shitness of Carrie's book and Duncan's claim that the ludicrously generic year 8 writing exercise sequence opening line stopped him in his tracks is so irritating.

Glad they've stopped the Harry being ill a secret storyline and made him apologise.

I can't go there with Carrie's shit opening line captivating Duncan. It's just too ridiculous for words, let alone her having any frame of reference to know whether he's said anything interesting about Margaret Thatcher in his chapter. Why have they tried to reinvent Carrie as an intellectual? She was always so honest about her writing in SATC - basically a sex and relationships columnist without a clue about either, harvesting her friends' lives and her own messy love life to create anything interesting, without which she could only write about socks; and completely lacking in political engagement (hot politician tried and failed) or interest in anything remotely intellectually romantic (Petrovsky's poetry) or spiritual (Big going to church was a joke for her). Her main 2 choices of male companions wanted to watch TV and eat KFC. Carrie the literary critic is utterly unbelievable.

I didn't mind this episode. I did cringe at the gardener singing and knew Selma and him would get it together.
Selmas has got a lovely pair of legs but, I would like to see her in more colour.
Carries lovely green dress and the grey one for the party were really gorgeous.
I'm glad she didn't have her hair pulled tight as usual as I think that's very aging on her. Miranda's "Blake 7" outfit was ok.
I'm glad she mentioned Carrie and the author, why did Carrie not get her own drink instead of drinking his scotch, that was a bit silly as she dosnt know him that well. If that was my drink I would be a bit pissed " get your own Carrie".
Love Char and Harry. Love Anthony hope he doesn't spilt with Giuseppe. He also looks good for his age.

Since Gia is a psychologist, and married a man 30 years her senior, maybe she should be analysing the relationship model Giuseppe grew up with, rather than being shirty with Anthony.

Yes !! Lighting is a big deal. That gorgeous room could’ve been stunning . I don’t believe someone as stylish as Carrie wouldn’t have been all over that.

I know! This is why I partly, for some reason, think they did this on purpose. The crap lighting, the awkward karaoke, the seating etc. All looked sparse and crap. Carrie would have had softs lamps and candles…

Is it metaphor? Carrie can't furnish her relationahip house with Aiden. It's got beautiful potential, but she just can't find a way to inhabit it that feels like home, and so and it's mostly empty space. I agree that Carrie will probably be buying her apartment back from Lissette by the end of the series. Or better still, telling Aiden to do one, and actually inhabiting her beautiful house in the way that's right for her and her alone. No menz! (Anthony voice).

I didn't particularly like Carrie's silver party dress, didn't seem to quite fit right around the bust? A lot of other lovely outfits though.

I was wondering whether Carrie was pissed off that Aiden wasn't at the party - there wasn't any mention of him not being able to make it - and that was what was fueling the unwarranted arseyness to Miranda.

And yeah, it might have been cheesy but it would have been a treat to see Herbert and Gia doing karaoke!
