Oh she is- but her clothing choices never align with the seasons

DD has spent the last month going to school wearing her blazer (which they’ve been told they don’t have to do) and TIGHTS every day. Then complains how hot she is. Luckily this week they’ve said they can wear PE kit so she is dressed sensibly today.

That sounds about right -although at Dd2's school they have to wear tights (80s denier, all year) and are not allowed to wear knee length socks- but can wear ankle socks for about 2 weeks of the year. It's not a rule I see the logic of. It's to stop them rolling their skirts, apparently.
It doesn't.

No chance of anything sensible like P.E kit (but their kit is so ugly, she would rather wear full winter uniform than be seen 'in the wild ' in it ).

The thought of wearing fake fur leg warmers in this heat is making me feel faint!

I need to pick a match to watch and stick to it otherwise I’ll be flicking around all day and not really watching anything

I’m hoping that Fearnley and Fonseca will be a good match - not sure that Foggy stands much of a chance against Carlos

Kartal and Ostapenko are on court 3 now Raahh - the line up for court 3 is pretty good today with this match, Holger and Matteo - hopefully it will be as good on Wednesday

I can't believe any school would make pupils wear tights in this weather, just thinking about that is making me come out in a heat rash!

My kids' school is letting them go in PE kits when it's hot.

Unlikely- Norris is playing RBA at a similar time. But you never know!

The sight of nice clean tennis whites against pristine grass is so pleasing to the eyes after all those months of horrible fluoro colour combos.

Ice I am very happy to have a couple of weeks off from acid yellow.

I love the aesthetic of Wimbledon.

I was reading an interview with BJK the other day. I normally have a lot of time for her, but she thinks Wimbledon should ditch the whites only rule (because it’s apparently too hard to work out which player is which when they’re both in white) and she also thinks tennis players should have their names and a number on the back of their shirts/dresses/whatever to make them easier to identify!

There are some new British players who I don't know at all. They all seem to be called Oliver.

One of them- Oliver Tarvert(?) isn't he the one who can't actually win any money , even if he wins the match- because he's a US college player (his winnings are capped at 7k a year or something).

Apparently Maya Joint lost out on $200,000 when she reached the 4th round of the US Open, for the same reason.

Ouch!

Sonay has just taken the first set against Jelena. Jelena retired injured from Eastbourne, not sure if she's still feeling it.
