I've not seen much of Maya Joint (am switching between the two finals) . It is unusual to see someone in sunglasses.
I doubt this would have been the final the tournament were expecting at the beginning of the week, but nice to see two young players doing well.

Iga was struggling against Pegula- lost the first set, on erve in the second 5-4 , with Jessica to serve.

And now Mallorca has started.

Right. I’m sure she’d have preferred to win but it still seems a really positive week after the season she’s had.

Alex Eala has really turned around this match in Eastbourne.

Ice I thought it was going Eala's way, but then Joint pulled it back again and had a break.

I'm glad they've let her go off court. It's too much to expect the loser ti sit there, whilst they faff around.

I really thought Alex had that, but Maya’s defence in that tiebreak was amazing.
