I really hate the Avani teenage pregnancy storyline plus it's been done to death
Suki's manipulation of her is awful.
Really sending out the wrong message.

Suki is a master manipulator though, it’s no wonder Avani caved because she knows how to get to people’s weak points! It’s quite sad. And the plan is so ridiculous that it could never work.

I said if they fire Trace from the Vic, I will stop watching 😂

At least Ravi offered Tracey a job. His been so horrible lately I didn’t think he’d take Alfie seriously tbh. Or care.
Is Freddie going out the show? Maybe he’ll get fed up of job hunting and the Slaters and go back to live with little Mo.

My last hope is that when Priya and Ravi (and Eve) find out about Suki's messed up plan, the s**t hits the fan and they all manage to talk Avani back round to her original decision. As long as it's not too late by then!

Eve won’t be happy with her wife. Not that you see them together that much as it is.

EE is the only soap I watch, and I watch it for light entertainment. I do not want to watch manipulation of teens/disabled people I.e Avani, Kojo, Oscar. Nor do i want to watch Joel. Life is rubbish enough. I'd watch the many police dramas if I wanted to watch drugs, knife crime, phone stealing and sexual explotation. I want fluff/comedy. I feel the new producer wants a new audience

There is too much violence and I also fear for Kojo.

Why are Kat and Alfie paying rent to Elaine? Elaine is living in their house, it’s a reciprocal arrangement so no one owes anyone anything.

Oscar told a pack of lies to Lauren, and would be far better off with Cora so Scary Mike couldn’t find him. The story moved on from beatings and stabbings to blackmail as if we haven’t got enough of that with Ravi and Suki.

The Avani scenes operated like an anti abortion public information film. I didn’t believe either of them would behave like this. It sends a terrible message.

I have a real fear that EastEnders is going the way of Corrie which I stopped watching earlier this year, having watched it for over 50 years. Corrie stripped out realistic character based plots and every plot was based around some kind of criminality, and there is a surfeit of really annoying teens.

i sometimes watch the classic ones at lunchtime on the Drama channel. They are so much better

I'm so angry at the Suki /Avani storyline.

The avani suki storyline seems so rushed. It actually feels unnatural.

Eves not been in alot because the the actress who plays her in real life is having cancer treatment 💔

Suki wanting to bring up baby at her age and time of life is ridiculous especially as she knows Eve wouldn’t want this. Not being ageist at all, but why tie yourself down? Avani isn’t even a blood relation to her either.
Where is this new money she offered her coming from too?

I wondered about the money too. The Panesars are so hard up now that Ravi is dealing drugs. Yet Vinny had no problem buying a ticket to Canada, and now Suki is paying for a baby.

I doubt the storyline will end up with Suki looking after the baby. It just seems to have been dropped in to cause maximum ructions when Priya, Ravi and Eve find out. And annoy all us viewers!

@Shellingbynight I think it was mentioned that Ash bought Vinny's ticket.

Avani and Nugget own all of Nish's businesses and I know Bernie stole money from them, but they have o going viable income. Why would Avani be tempted by money?
The whole story is terrible and yet another teen pregnancy is unnecessary
I'm really enjoying Oscar but again the storyline is getting farcial. "Fat Mike" just rocking up randomly and Uncle Jack snarling at him. I'm glad Lauren is standing by him, the rest of the family have abandoned him.
Perhaps Kalfie have to pay rent for the pub tenancy due to licencing laws, but they own the building (with huge mortgage payments)

Suki doesn’t work or have any kind of income currently (I may have this wrong , but how does she live?) Might have savings ?
Eve can’t earn that much on the stall , min wage or living wage , maybe a percentage of profits, but it’s hardly a king’s ransom.
Jack is only ‘ on the beat’ in Walford or at the station which is handy for Oscar currently.
Has the easiest job in the Met.

I thought of this thread earlier whilst I was watching today’s episode when - pre-shag - Nicola told George that Elaine had been punching, so she said what we’d all commented on for a long time.

I agree, I don't know how Suki has any money because Nish took all the businesses from her. Avani should have access to more money than Suki does. Makes no sense. I hope Eve talks Avani out of this.

I've just read that Balvinder (Suki) is strongly rumoured to be in Strictly this year.

She does have a certain charm I suppose , but dangerous too!!

Balvinder would be brilliant at dancing I bet. She is very statuesque and seems a nice person.
( As long as the contestants stay out of any more controversy, it should be a good season! )
Yes, money and how they earn it on EE is a mystery to me at times. Especially how much debt the slaters are in too .. eye watering amounts.

Yet Alfie spent money on a novelty 1970’s donkey thing.

I didn’t mind Elaine and George together, but they were very much ‘the odd couple. ‘ Cindy and him were more credible.
Would be nice to see E with someone more like she is.
