Just watching today’s episode.
When Peter was walking along with Jimmy, there was the woman who came out of the house behind him and emptied a container into a bin.
Couldn't make out which house it was she came out of, he said he was walking around the square and it was just along from where Jay lives.

It just seemed weird seeing an extra come out of one of the houses.

I’ve never seen an extra in one of the houses before ! Only in the market square or in the pubs or in a church for a wedding / funeral / christening or maybe in the restaurant. Not seen it today yet , will keep my eyes peeled

They have put the episode for the 9th on iPlayer. Very odd. Maybe they changed their minds. Saw all the complaints??

And for the first time ever there was mention of Kojo not having the correct papers and visa.

Kojo has been in the UK over a year now. Not sure how it actually works , but surely someone would have thought to have chased it up by now ?

It's a stretch to believe that Phil would have taken him on given the trouble he would get into if the authorities found out, but this is EastEnders etc etc.

I wonder that as this is the first time it's been mentioned that they're lining up an exit story for Kojo.

Poor Kojo, although I don’t blame him for not wanting the hassle of an apprenticeship at his age.
.. would he need to get British citizenship in order to stay on ? Is he actually illegal now?
How does it work with visas usually ? Would he be charged in real life etc?

Poor Eve doesn’t look that well does she ;( must be hard returning after cancer treatment.
Im surprised that Ravi hasn’t questioned everyone a lot more about the missing money. He did ask Suki, but she is able to fob him off so easily. I’m surprised he didn’t dig a bit deeper. Especially with Avani wanting a big party.
apparently the drugs he just got go missing this week , my bet is Nicola behind that one.

Could Kojo be deported ?

Can’t believe Ravi is getting involved with Nicola again. I wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her, that one.

Someone like Kojo could claim Article 8 so he could stay because of his family ties.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on here but Heather's wife has also been diagnosed with breast cancer. There will be alot going on with juggling childcare, 2 diagnosis, treatments etc etc, that's without work commitments.

I can’t imagine what they may be going through. I just read that Heather’s lump was 12cm. She seems to be doing well now after chemotherapy and a left breast mastectomy.

Ravi is desperate I suppose and although there are plenty of other gangsters / drug dealers he could get involved with he chooses the one who is more likely to stitch him up! Hasn’t thought it through really has he.
Is ‘sweet 16 ‘ a thing now ? With those photo booths and what not ? At least at 18 or 21 you can legally have a drink

Most changes of immigration status have to be done by exiting the UK and reapplying. You can’t remain and just change it. Specially not if you have overstayed coz then you are here illegally.
Kojo seems to have overstayed a tourist visa and if found out could be deported.
I also thought there was a rule that landlords had to check immigration status and Kojo is renting now.
If they try and deport him and he uses Article 8 of the Human Rights Act re his right to family life I would have thought they would say he has a perfectly good family in Ghana

Of course Kojo obtained a flat without any mention of checks or a guarantor or a deposit or how he paid for any furniture or , well , anything really! May be furnished , but you still need things for it.
George is living there now too, have they checked he can move in? Where is this place ? lol

Maybe Kojo was born here ? Although I’m not really sure tbh.
