The other thing is that Bernie’s character used to be very sweet and very intelligent when she was introduced to the square. She was a bit like Bailey. I recall her being a chess whiz.

Bernie was good at chess. Patrick and another man ( whose name escapes me ) was helping her and she won a tournament at school I think.
She was alright once, but they made her evil after Keanu died.

Just to answer a question further up the thread-the reason Bernie was able to get the money is because she was a trustee of the kids accounts, not executor of the will if I remember.

I found the end when they played M People really loud so cringe. And the 6 were in their colours in the day and leading up to it. Kathy was wearing a purple jacket, Stacey had a red top on, Suki wore a bright blue top the day before, Linda was in pink and Denise had dark green trousers on. It was subtly done but I’m certain deliberate. Kathy’s jacket was super purple and not something I’ve seen her in before

And when Denise found the footage on a laptop she was absolutely terrified of Ravi, screamed the house down when he broke into her house to smash the computer up and he was very threatening to her and Suki. They thought he might kill them.

Months later that’s completely all forgotten and she starts sleeping with him, calling him a kind sweet man etc😂

I can't actually remember why Suki was happy to let her beloved Kheerat stay in jail now she knows it was Ravi who killed Ranveer. It's a very odd situation even for EastEnders!

But I like that Ravi is 'complex', he is a much better character than someone like Nicola the one-note villain.

It probably helps to have the memory of a goldfish if you live in Albert Square, where so many of your neighbours have a sordid criminal history.

I think she tried to stop him confessing and told the police she did it but they didn't believe her.

Yes I think she did try to go to the police herself to stop Kheerat confessing, but that was when she thought she killed Ranveer and K was saving her. When she found out Ravi did it, why didn't she want Ravi jailed and K freed?

Suki was not happy with Kheerat and Stacey's relationship at all (though had no qualms in moving in on Stacey's wife !)

So maybe in her twisted mind if Kheerat was in jail then he was out of Stacey;s clutches .

She also threw Jags under the bus to save Vinnie and set him up to go to prison

She was so devastated by what happened to Jags in prison though, you'd think she might be a tiny bit concerned about Kheerat mouldering away in jail! But oh no, this is EastEnders, we've moved on and need to forget he exists😆

Wasn't there meant to be a "Protection" on Jags ( ? Ben ) but it was withdrawn and poor Jags got pasted .

Vinny is my favourite Panesar child (though TBH it isn;t much of a choice ) , he;s a bit Mummy's Boy and really shouldn't try thinking too much .

Yes that's right, it was Ben. I don't know how Ben arranged protection for Jags but these things are always a mystery!

I agree if Vinny doesn't attempt too much thinking he's a nice enough guy!

I wonder if the mention of Ash and her older fiancee means she is going to turn up. She always had a face like a slapped backside.

Suki never even mentions visiting Kheerat!

How did he get convicted of killing Ranvir when there was obviously nothing linking him to the crime. I know he ‘confessed’ but I’m sure the prosecution service would still need to present evidence in court.

I want Kheerat back on the square the same time as Max 😏

Kheerat was certainly easy on the eye. As is Ravi of course and Vinny is very attractive (I think this is overlooked because he’s such a wet character with no storylines and serves no purpose). If nothing else, Nish certainly passed down some good genes!

Bloody hell this is unfair.

For the week starting July 7, 2025, EastEnders episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer at the same time they air on BBC One, rather than being released early on iPlayer. This means you can watch the episodes at 7:30 PM on BBC One or catch them on iPlayer at the same time. There will be no early releases on iPlayer for this week.

That’s odd they’re not going to be on iPlayer in the morning. I’ve read spoilers and there’s nothing big happening.

Wow! That is bad. Already bad enough that they have messed around with the schedule due to sport. But not even available on iplayer beforehand fgs 🙄
