Devastating news from Dick Kyrgios. He's going to miss the whole of the grass court season. In his statement, he says...
"I know how much you've been looking forward to seeing me out there and I'm genuinely sorry to disappoint."

I think we'll manage to deal with it!
I hope the downside is he's on the BBC commentary/pundit team!

Just as well you corrected it kazza, I was a bit worried you were a fan of Dick’s punditry! His narcissism is unbelievable, I doubt there is a single person who bought tickets to Wimbledon hoping to see him play.

Ugh. I read about Dick yesterday, and I was so disappointed (obviously) to hear he won't be playing.
Honestly, why does he think people still care? The trouble is, there are loads of pundits who do- and insist he's so amazing for the game.

Well, from what I've seen, the game is managing perfectly well in his absence. I'm sure he thinks players like Carlos or Jannik are too dull- the crowds that fill the courts to see them, prove otherwise.

The BBC got quite a few complaints about having him on the commentary team (not that they seemed to care). Hopefully he won't be back. Or he can commentate for Aussie tv from a cupboard somewhere. Far away.

I hope the atmosphere will improve for the Lois/Mirra match.

I often like to root for the underdog but I really like Mirra and want to see her do well. A QF is still a fantastic result for Lois.

I’m in the office so just scorewatching today. Doesn’t sound like I’ve missed much so far - result as expected although did initially look like Madison could cause a slight upset.

I would love Mirra to win this. I agree it's all been fantastic for Lois (and the tournament)- but it's Mirra I would like to see in the semi finals.
