It was heavily implied that Liam and David lied to protect Jacob as he was so young and had been abused. They told Jacob he was not the father but they never actually showed him the DNA result.

For quite a while it was thought that Jacobs was the father of Theo until that DNA test.

I must be remembering it wrong then but there was some shifty conversations between Liam and David about keeping the truth from Jacob and Liam worried about his professional reputation being on the line 🤷🏻‍♀️

They did have the conversation but Liam wouldn’t lie for David and Theo was definitely his in the end anyway. Not that that would stop them from retconning it but we don’t need any more invisible kids.
