So the ixperts....

According to St Google of Googleshire, around 65,000 people applied for MAFSAU this year. A proportion of the participants are also recruited through social media.

But regardless, they are put through a rigorous vetting process of multiple interviews, tasks, psychological profiling, tests and so on.

And yet, in one season, they managed to recruit three women who I believe to be genuinely mentally unwell: Wacqui / Verucca and The Stepford Knife.

They're really not very good ixperts are they?

Yeah I remember a few seasons back a couple of guys said they were recruited in a bar. Not even looking for a relationship. That’s not on.

I've see her referred to as Temu-Kim (Kardashain) elsewhere which, whilst SNOBBY, made me snigger. The irony....

Cam Merchant was still working for Spartan when he was out drinking with three friends in a Sydney bar. They were approached by some TV producers who asked if any of the men were single. After the others pointed at Merchant, he was asked if he wanted to appear on Married at First Sight.

This wasn't a guy looking for media fame like so many of the others we've seen, with an agenda, looking for an agent, a TV career. And - Happily married. Two lovely looking children.

65000 people and yet this year quite a few of them already knew eachother/ had connections to eachother. Hhhmm. Strange that.

I'm beginning to think that anyone over 25 in Perth has dated everyone over 25 in Perth.

And Katie right at the start, who came across as incredibly vulnerable.

Endemol Shine (the production company) make a number of reality shows. So if you apply for one of the shows you may not be successful but be considered for another.

Teejay was on Big Brother, Dave applied for FBoy Island, Ellie (last year) applied for Love Triangle etc.

So a lot of them probably have shared agents and are introduced through that.

Also Lauren Dunn from last year has confirmed that Perth is incredibly small and most people of a similar age have dated each other or are aware of each other. So production must have known there was a good chance of people previously dating from there. To be fair it does stop the long used cop out of distance between Perth and seemingly anywhere else in Australia

So out of the pool of women selected from 65,000 applicants PLUS all the random casting done on Socials and via agents etc, the ixperts in personality and psychology managed to select:

Morena: Unmanaged, relentless bitter rage
Verruca: Nasty, toxic, gaslighting, spiteful liar
The Stepford Knife: Cold, gaslighty, manipulator
Wacqui: Off scale mentally unwell
Katie: Vulnerable, desperate and fragile

None of those women, or the men they were paired with, stood a chance.
