Elliott is basically a Hallmark Christmas movie leading man, who has learned there's more to life than his cold, hard big city ways.

I don't care what he said at the start. He's handsome and he reads books (and he would probably embrace the true spirit of Christmas now).

I found it gross when Alessandra said that. I actually find the whole focus on whether or not the couple are having sex an ick, the way they're asked about it and expected to discuss it. If my (grown up) kids were on it and knew I was watching, they'd be mortified. They always say the show is about 'finding love' so why the focus on when if and how they're shagging?? Urgh.

Elliot is cunning and intelligent. He is playing the game, his ego would not tolerate Veronica if he hadn't messed up with Lauren. He is on his best behaviour. imo.
