Celebrity Big Brother (ITV1) and Late & Live (ITV2) - Thread 3 - Please expect spoilers.

So, Michael Fabricant was the first to be evicted, with Jack(🙄) and Mickey being saved by the public.

Mickey Rourke then left on Saturday night. Allegedly he said another homophobic slur, this time to Chris, and left/was asked to leave.

(Daley and Chris were immune from last weeks nominations, and Mickey had been put up by Jojo as a killer nom.)

Jojo and Chris are seemingly besties

Trisha is annoying just about everyone (keep an eye out for her chats with Danny)

Mickey hated Patsy's cooking and wasn't afraid to tell her at any given opportunity, reducing her to tears

Mickey seemingly liked Danny's cooking, however, and was happy for Danny to do his make up.

Ella loves being beautiful and having a colonic. I don't think that anyone on earth wants to see a showmance between her and Chris, but do correct me if I'm wrong

Chesney Hawkes reckons he had a 'drugs hell' but no one believes him

Angelica has retained a youthful glow, no further commentary necessary (thank you trisha)

So this thread is for CBB and L&L commentary, as well as lovely discussions about seasons past and gossip about the celebs 🙌

please expect spoilers as it was just too hard to avoid them

Oh I've just googled her. I thought she was an out and out lesbian but apparently she's "pansexual".

21 or not, it's a shitty thing to put a partner through, knowing they're watching.

8dateslater · 14/04/2025 16:13

I will always have a bit of sympathy for her because I feel like a lot of the hate towards her is just a wider issue of dislike of teenage girls

She falls in that easy to mock category like one direction, Justin Bieber, twilight type belittling or conversely any form of teenager who dares to be a bit loud, or outspoken.

I once read an essay about how teenage girls are always mocked and criticised for being bitchy, too much, shy, insincere, sheltered, fake, ignorant or stroppy etc and it's stuck with me

8dateslater · 14/04/2025 16:16

I know she's not a teen but I sometimes think she was forced into staying as a preteen/early teen way until she was 18 to keep her market. I think she's now doing stuff at 21 that others were doing as a 17 year old.

I just think if I'd of been on big brother as a 21 year old I'd of been doing cringe stuff

Most of us will have gone through the thinking you're the epitomy of edge, know better, terrible outfits, type thing but are just lucky enough that it wasn't wildly documented

There's a video of her necking vodka on a stage that was widely laughed at but I really recognised from trying to prove I was grown up.

If my teenage thoughts, behaviour, fashion etc into my early 20s was documented I'd probably die of shame

8dateslater · 14/04/2025 16:18

Maybe other people just did less embarrassing stuff as a teenager than I did 😂

Oh God no, I'm definitely with you there! I'm often to be found saying what a twat I was in my teens and early 20s.

I don't actually dislike her from what I've seen in the house, bar this Chris carry on, which I find disrespectful and even more so if it's an act like other posters keep saying.

dapsnotplimsolls · 14/04/2025 16:31

Me too, I haven't really had an issue with her until now. I'm starting to wonder if the JoJo/Chris thing has been going on for a few days but it's only now being shown because Mickey has gone and the producers are worried about losing viewers. Not that I'm cynical or anything ...

whynotwhatknot · 14/04/2025 13:23

ive had several people tell me (not on mn) that stroking someones back is just normal between friends?

really? i dont stroke any of my friends back let alone in bed sorry its just odd and then chris saying hes missing her

TBH I cringe when friends go to hug me, I think my reflexes would commit GBH if a friend started stroking me

JandamiHash · 14/04/2025 16:39

CellophaneFlower · 14/04/2025 13:35

I still think it takes the mick (😂 ) that Ella was making similar smutty remarks to Chris when they first entered the house, but that's OK? I mean I guess it's OK as Chris wasn't offended but how can Ella then be offended if somebody says the same to her? Is it not OK as she doesn't fancy him and he's old? Or is it OK for a woman to make such remarks as it's not deemed predatory or threatening?

If she feels uncomfortable the many variable of ‘but you would be uncomfortable if XYZ happened’ is entirely relevant and used to prop up and justify the action of perverts.

The fact is Ella did not pair a threat to Chris. Mickey did post a threat to her. Is it double standards? Yes. But on planet earth men and women are different, and if a double standard prevents men from being creeps then bring it on

VivienneDelacroix · 14/04/2025 16:40

JoJo isn't someone I know much about, but she's coming across really well to me. She seems level-headed and wise, and has a kind of confidence that I guess comes with being a child star. Especially if you compare her to Ella, who seems unsure of herself and out of her depth.

It's hard to tell how aware she is of how the dynamic between her and Chris might come across, whereas I think he absolutely is aware. She was on reality TV as a child who was manipulated by adults around her, he was on a show where he would have been very aware of how reality TV works. I don't watch LI, but from what I've read, it doesn't sound like he was naive when he took part in that.

I really hope it doesn't all end in tears for her. She's young and she's not been with her partner for long, so it's not like it would be such a huge thing for her to get with someone else in the outside world, but to do it on TV in front of an audience would no doubt lead to her being painted as some sort of slapper.

Anyway, I hope Danny wins, he seems to be a good balance of fun and kind.

Her behaviour was icky, but there is a power-imbalance at play.
Mickey is a stronger, older man with a demonstrated aggressive streak and a history of abusive behaviour. He's also a Hollywood star (albeit somewhat faded) whereas Ella is a relative nobody.
There is no threat to Chris from her (either directly nor indirectly).

Michael Fabricant said on L&L last night that it’s been going on all along as he went to ask Jack if they were getting it on

I agree.

I do feel like her game plan was a showmance with Chris. She’s bringing nothing else to the house except pouting when he talks to JoJo or becoming moody if he treats her like anything but a goddess

WTAF - I have just read that MR was on the Masked Singer in 2020

In 2020, The Wrestler star caused havoc on The Masked Singer when he broke the fundamental rule of the show and revealed his identity. He became the first contestant in history to voluntarily unmask himself, ripping off his Gremlin costume three minutes after performing Ben E. King's Stand By Me.

Yeah, I hear you, but I really took it as an off the cuff comment, he didn't try and carry it on or anything. I know how Ella perceived the comment is what matters, but from the way she behaves in general, she's far from a shrinking violet or prudish in any way. She didn't seem flustered at the time and I really think she milked it a bit when the knives had come out for Mickey after the Chris thing.

InALonelyWorld · 14/04/2025 17:20

I've been lurking as the thread goes way to fast to keep up with live 🤣

I think MR is the type of person who doesn't like rules or environments where he lacks control so will create drama as a way to fight against that. There's a few stories I've seen since he was kicked out that claim he purposely pushed to be removed or evicted, which I can believe.

I am conflicted with the comments to Ella because he isn't the only person making comments like that in there but I also come across a lot of men of his generation who often make these inappropriately sexual comments to young women and it is very uncomfortable to be on the recieving end of them in a public space, never mind an enclosed environment like the BB prison.

What a gameplayer Chris is...didn't even try to pretend he was surprised at his rule break! That puts a different spin on it for me (I didn't know him at all before he entered and though he seemed like a 'nice young man')
Danny's my favourite at the moment which is a big shock to me as I hate him in drag on L&L

I don't think there's one close female friendship in there. They just have small talk and tolerate each other.
No hugging in beds or being affectionate in a OTT BB way.

I don't think they've had long enough.

PrincessScarlett · 14/04/2025 18:02

Chris is going to think he's invincible. Hopefully his big headedness will be his downfall. I'll be really pissed if he wins. I would rather anyone else wins over Chris.

whynotwhatknot · 14/04/2025 18:07

theyve been given a crap punishment aswell sitting in the bin of shame again

bb needs to shut off water or food not make them sit in a comedy bin
