Celebrity Big Brother (ITV1) and Late & Live (ITV2) - Thread 3 - Please expect spoilers.

So, Michael Fabricant was the first to be evicted, with Jack(🙄) and Mickey being saved by the public.

Mickey Rourke then left on Saturday night. Allegedly he said another homophobic slur, this time to Chris, and left/was asked to leave.

(Daley and Chris were immune from last weeks nominations, and Mickey had been put up by Jojo as a killer nom.)

Jojo and Chris are seemingly besties

Trisha is annoying just about everyone (keep an eye out for her chats with Danny)

Mickey hated Patsy's cooking and wasn't afraid to tell her at any given opportunity, reducing her to tears

Mickey seemingly liked Danny's cooking, however, and was happy for Danny to do his make up.

Ella loves being beautiful and having a colonic. I don't think that anyone on earth wants to see a showmance between her and Chris, but do correct me if I'm wrong

Chesney Hawkes reckons he had a 'drugs hell' but no one believes him

Angelica has retained a youthful glow, no further commentary necessary (thank you trisha)

So this thread is for CBB and L&L commentary, as well as lovely discussions about seasons past and gossip about the celebs 🙌

please expect spoilers as it was just too hard to avoid them

Thanks for the new thread! BTW, when you said you found it hard to like Jojo bc of the life she's lived, did you mean her public image or something else? I def agree her image as a kid was quite cloying but it wasn't her fault, her 'momager' was responsible. Otoh her Miley-style antics later were up to her. I sympathise bc she's basically lived in a goldfish bowl her whole childhood almost, w a mum who monetised her. ☹️ That's no excuse for the bullying allegations that have come out tho...

I don't like her as she does seem smug and a bit patronising

I don't think I'd get along with her - but I think that she's only 21 and has lived quite a crazy life, so I can't really hold it against her, that's what I meant

I don't know much about her life before cbb tbh, only that she was on the kardashians - definitely didn't know she was only 21!

I don't mind JoJo at all - never having come across her before. (Although I do think I have a vague memory of the big bow fad). She's fully taking part in the experience, she's standing up for herself (and why shouldn't she?) and she seems to show empathy and kindness to the other housemates when they need it. She may come over as "full on" but that is possibly a result of being the product of American reality tv - where personalities and behaviour are generally way more OTT than here in the UK.

And talking of Americans... looking at the brief clip of Chris with his pirate eyeliner, he looks disturbingly like J D Vance!

MonickerMonica · 13/04/2025 19:01

Assuming MR having his face made up by Danny was on the live showings which I don't watch? I would have enjoyed that 🫤 💄

The clip of the incident is on the BB app, probably elsewhere as well now

I've just watched it - difficult to say with just a short clip but it looks like Chris was winding him up. Maybe trying to get him chucked out? Hmmmm.

I don't want anymore backlash 😄 but they knew what they were doing

Its just that he's such a misogynistic bigot, he's not worth defending

Interesting 🤔

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2025 19:47

It doesn't justify what he said/did but I'll be interested to watch the whole incident tonight.

Appalonia · 13/04/2025 20:00

I'm in two minds about whether to watch tonight, this whole sorry episode is so bloody sordid and depressing!

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 13/04/2025 20:01

Yeah, i feel kind of exhausted by the whole thing now

Plus, it's not on til 10 😩

Yeah, I get that. To me, it's hard to grasp she's 21. Tho she's actually 2 years older than me she still seems younger - partly the pigtail, but also the child star lifestyle- Taylor Swift's lyric about 'growing up precocious sometimes means not growing up at all' seems to fit Jojo.

2025willbemytime · 13/04/2025 20:04

I've just seen a video of what happened with Chris and Mickey plus a spoiler on the Mail website so avoid if you don't want to see.

LovelySG · 13/04/2025 20:10

I’ve just watched the clip and it shows a nasty aggressive side to him.

Until this he’s come across to me as a bumbling, brain addled, not very bright dinosaur with archaic attitudes. But entertaining for the oddness and his misunderstandings.

This clip shows a nasty, foul-mouthed, aggressive man losing control/ his temper.

If I was in there I think I’d be a bit shaken up watching it flare up. It’s that threat of potential violence that’s always there with aggressive men, isn’t it.

Paperclipp · 13/04/2025 20:33

I’ve also just watched it and I don’t understand how that escalation even came about! Surely there must’ve been some antagonism in the run-up to that task???

And whoever said that Chris in guyliner looks like JD Vance is bang on the money 🤣

MrsPeterHarris · 13/04/2025 20:47

Checking in for later (although wish it wasn’t on so late!) & hope they show the full account of what happened. Up

HurdyGurdy19 · 13/04/2025 20:50

I saw on TikTok that all Live Eviction Shows will be 90 minutes and will all be double evictions.

I don't know how that will affect Tuesday's though, as Mickey has gone now

I've just watched it on the app, and at the end, Big Brother sounded (understandably) slightly panicked when they ordered Mickey to the diary room NOW. Usually it's a bit less authoritarian than that (ironically)

8dateslater · 13/04/2025 21:01

I think he's simply not able to manage in the house. The house is deliberately designed to wind people up. There's always tasks where they have to annoy others/complain about others etc and he's not able to handle it. It doesnt really matter if he's so unwell that when stressed he does inappropriate stuff and is physically agressive, or if he's deliberately chosing it.

I've got my own personal view, but if he had something like dementia it wouldn't be right to let that play out in the house For him but also to others

Either way there should be questions about how and if he was assessed as fit for being in the house in the first place

Spoiler:

The wording of the diary room conversation also refers to sexual comments to Ella, which I don't think we've seen yet

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 21:19

I've just seen the clip and it starts right at the escalation so we're not seeing what led up to it. Outrageous behaviour from Mickey but there's no explanation as to why because we don't see everything. I wonder if tonight's episode will reveal more?

Also, with regards to Ella, I've seen a clip where he refers to her being beautiful and asks if he's allowed to say that and Ella says yes and appears fine. Mickey then said she won't be beautiful when she's an old bag and Ella replies that she will still have a beautiful heart. Is this what they are referring to with regards to Ella or is there something else. There's no offense and it is a light hearted chat and Mickey implies that we all lose our looks in the end 🤷🏻‍♀️

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 21:20

Agree that CBB have some questions to answer as to why they deemed Mickey suitable to go into the house.

Aquarius1234 · 13/04/2025 21:21

I'll be annoyed if Tuesday is still a double eviction!
Getting rid of everyone too soon!

JandamiHash · 13/04/2025 21:21

Just seen the clip it’s hard to tell from the clip but I think what’s happened is there’s a “rat” in the pirate task, like a saboteur. And Trisha reveals this by saying “There’s a rat in the camp” and Chris jokingly gave Mickey an accusatory look. Mickey then squares up to him and calls him a cunt for “eyeballing” him

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2025 21:25

I'm not sure Chris is joking, I think he knew damn well that if he wound Mickey up, he'd lose his temper.

I agree, he had an almost sinister look in his eye that I haven't seen before. Quite unnerving!

Mickey's fee has been slashed
