Here we go - about to run out on Thread Two

On business terms, Dean's is by far the strongest prospect.
Curry pizza has already been done and the liklihood of the business being anything more than a local takeaway is vanishingly small without spending probably millions to market it and expand very rapidly
If there is an untapped demand for curry pizza, Dominoes and Papa John's will muscle in straightaway with all of the infrastructure and marketing already in place as well as an established customer base.
Dean's AC business is meeting a growing demand.

Anisa has my vote and I went to the same school as her ( though many years before!)

I heard Richard Osman say on ‘The Rest is Entertainment’ podcast that Lord Sugar knows about their business plans right from the start. Given Osman’s undoubted experience as an insider on how TV shows are made, I’m sure he’s right. This prior knowledge must influence LS’s decisions on who to fire throughout the series.

I have a vague recollection that Lord Sugar rejected a previous candidate because he had a business partner, what’s going on with the Dean set up then?

M&S have been selling these for some time. They’re not very nice.

I remember a candidate who didn't even own the business - I think it was the guy whose business plan was something to do with shipping, and who padded out his four page business plan with a page covered in tiny ships!

I am going to watch the early series’. I'm sure they were much more business orientated and less ‘instagram and predictable tasks’.

The candidates cannot be the best of British business talent.
Amber Rose definitely thinks she will be a TV presenter and I bet she is picked up. Her facial expressions so false and acted out.

The women in the early series notably dressed in the kind of clothes most women wore to the office at the time - there were no brightly coloured figure-hugging dresses - mostly grey/black suits and not afraid to wear trousers either.

The tasks in the earlier series were a lot more sales heavy too. I think that changed post Covid.

Yes - company set up and dissolved within 6 months. So Souter and/or Production team guessed that Jordan wouldn't have been anywhere near the point of registering his company. He's basically a self-employed designer at this stage - but he's ambitious for sure!

I think it's pretty clear that Chisola and Amber-Rose were on it for the exposure but I can see both of them being successful, specially Chisola, I hope, as I think she came over particularly well. I liked her jacket that became a gilet too and wondered why no one seemed to think much of it, lol.

Love Dean, have I missed what they find so endearing about Jordan? He wasn’t exactly great in any of the tasks.

I wondered that. He was pretty anonymous then came up with some vague 'back story' in the fashion task which somehow seemed to change opinions about him. Unless I missed something.

I think Jordan's youth and the fact he came from a very ordinary background were considered appealing factors.

I thought it would be a Chisola and Dean final tbh
However, after hearing Chisola’s business plan I knew she wouldn’t be in the final
She is obviously very intelligent and capable so I think that she will do well
I want Dean to win as there is definitely potential for growth in his business .

sidenote- I watched the first episode of ‘Your Fired’ this series. Wasn’t impressed by the host and switched off

it has been organised that I’m going out for a meal with the in laws at 7:30 tomorrow evening 🙄 🤞 I’ll be back in time to watch live but not holding my breath.

There’s a Japanese pizza place near me. Nice but not something you would have regularly and I’m sure it’s fine as a standalone restaurant but not as a much larger offering

I feel the same about curry pizza although happy to see what her toppings actually are!!

I think Lord Sugar will go for the pizzas. (I am usually wrong though)
