Shame about Chisola. She was excellent until the daft business plan.

She’s not the first good candidate to fall by the wayside because of this.

Although I’m not convinced it’s actually best to win and give part of your business over to Sugar. It may actually be better to make it to the Final Five - I believe they are usually inundated with job offers and it’s great PR.

NorthernGirl1981 · 11/04/2025 09:38

I loved it when Sir Alan was talking to Dean about the name of his company, ADL, with the A standing for his partner’s name and the D standing for Dean, and then Dean said, “We saved the L for you Lord Sugar” 🤣🤣

I love a cheeky chap!!

His absolute passion for AC also makes me smile, I love it on his application form when they asked, “What makes you different from the other candidates” and he wrote, “I can sell air conditioning.” 🤣

I think he’s more passionate about his AC units than Anisa is about her pizzas 🤣

cakeandteaandcake · 11/04/2025 09:40

On the topic of Jordan’s spec work. It’s normal for students and people just starting out to have spec projects in their portfolio. It’s not normal to present them in such a misleading way.

I don’t get all the compliments for Jordan, I thought he came across quite poorly.

Wasn’t there a case a few years ago involving a cosmetic dentist who got through to the bottom two but then pulled out of the show as he thought Alan’s demands on how much of the business he should own, or how much money he should receive were unreasonable?

Is that a passion for AC or a sign that he is lacking in creativity, imagination and critical thinking?

I seem to recall they also disagreed about which direction to take the business in.

Why does every business man have to be creative and imaginative and an expert in critical thinking? Why can’t they just have a business, make a name for themselves, be proud of what they’ve achieved and be passionate about what they do?

Didn’t say they did. Just saying I didn’t take that comment on his application form as a sign of passion - I just thought it sounded like he couldn’t think of anything good to say.

I think he was just trying to be funny….and it definite made me smile 🤣

Unlike whichever candidate it was that wrote at the the top of the business plan: “Winner of The Apprentice 2025”! That definitely wasn’t funny and it just made them come across as a a bit of a twat 😬

I can’t remember who is was that wrote it, I just hope it wasn’t Dean after saying all that 🤣

Does anyone else think curry pizza sounds REVOLTING ?

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 11/04/2025 10:19

I agree @IHeartMyTissues the unknown partner and the proposed share split up (and simply removing the wives interest from the business) makes it sound complicated and less attractive.

I'm also sure there was a similar scenario in a previous series, where suralan wasn't happy about a business plan that included a unknown-to-him partner and rejected the candidate.

Sort of in this topic….

When Sir Alan was talking to Dean about his wife losing her share, Dean said his wife was fine about it and then he said, “We are married so what’s mine is hers anyway.” The camera then panned across to Anisa who appeared to roll her eyes and sneer at him when he said it.

Did anyone else pick up on that or did I just misread her expression?

murasaki · 11/04/2025 11:29

I thought she sneered.

Wasn't there a winner a while ago, Harpreet maybe, whose sister owned half the business?

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 11/04/2025 12:31

@NorthernGirl1981 you're right, there was 'a look'. Will be interesting to see if this aspect is questioned more next week.

Maybe she thought the whole “I’m a family man and I love my wife” persona was just an act….

Or maybe she thinks he said it to suck up to Sir Alan…. Maybe Sir Alan likes a ‘Family Man’ type of person.

Whatever her reason was, it came across as quite nasty and very unnecessary.

cakeandteaandcake · 11/04/2025 12:45

I don’t think she did sneer. I think that’s just her face!

I love curry and I love pizza, so why not?

There are some places in my home city that have been doing pizzas with Indian-style toppings for years. Done properly, they’re great. That Martin guy was raving about Anita’s curry pizza, and he’s not one who’s usually quick to give praise.

The effective valuation also seems quite low - I would have thought from what Dean was saying about turnover, the business would be worth more than £500k.

I don’t know if this has been posted before but I’ve just watched the first ever episode of the first series (which Tim won). There are annoying ads but you can usually skip them after a few seconds.

If anyone knows where to watch the first series ad-free please let me know!

I like both Dean and Anisa, I think either would be a worthy winner.
I didn’t get the love for Jordan at all, weak all the way through, then suddenly chosen over Mia who had been strong every task.
He was smirking and sneering at others in the boardroom last week when he thought they had lost or were getting fired, then changing his face to the cameras and Lord Sugar.
I was surprised they didn’t make much of him being deceptive in his business plan when they normally tear them apart over anything.

I agree about Jordan, but Mia was not strong every task. She talked a good talk but was behind some of the worst ideas.

I watched them all on Iplayer not long ago. Are they no longer on there?
