So we're three days in Mickey Rourke has managed to insult: Jojo and the entire LGBTQ+ community Drag queens Patsy's cooking Donna's weight He's had a telling off from Big Brother re his comments and discussion of nominations Mickey has been nominated by Jojo, who had a killer nomination, and is the first housemate to be up for eviction.

Daley Thompson is immune from being nominated, thanks to Mickey. Trisha has a lot of stories Donna wears an LED mask to bed Jack P Shepherd has been mute 🤐 so far (as his biggest hater, I love it 🤭)

Contains discussion of the spoiler content shown on Late and Live (ITV2) but no further spoilers please 🙏 No spoilers from the live stream or the tabloids Here's the link to thread one: www.mumsnet.com/talk/tellyaddicts/5307304-celebrity-big-brother-starts-mon-7th-april-on-itv

I think that we're in for a surprise re trisha

utterexasperation · 13/04/2025 13:07

I'm guessing people might feel bad about Trisha because of her illness though and because of that not vote against her.

Me too. I think it's really hard to gauge what the reception to her would be and if I was a housemate I'd be quiet about it for a while

I don't know if we are getting a really harsh edit of her or a really kind one! She seems to be having lots of conversations etc in the live footage so it could entirely consist of monologuing throughout which isn't beeing shown, or perfectly supportive conversations where we are only being shown the dodgy bits.

I suspect people will tread carefully around her, and once people begin to speak out eg danny then others will become more vocal

Agree @8dateslater not sure what to make of her edit either

Trisha is in the perfect position to be a housemate (obviously not perfect in terms of her illness). She could actually be a lot more controversial and provoking with the others knowing that because of her illness the others will be reluctant to nominate her. So far I think she's been very tame knowing what we know of her.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2025 13:22

They won't want to look bad by nominating her.

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 13:27

They won't want to look bad by nominating her.

Yes those playing the game won't want the public thinking they are picking on a poor woman with cancer.

I think Danny and Daley are likely to be the ones to dare nominate her as neither of them care what other people think.

Ella and Donna in particular will want to be as friendly as possible with everyone as they don't have the fan base some of the others do so they know if they are up against the others for the public vote they would probably be out.

Aquarius1234 · 13/04/2025 13:32

I don't think Patsy likes Trisha. Don't think she actually likes many in there. She's always relieved when the day is over!
That's not what I want from a housemate.
Your paid loads I want entertainment warts an all !
Angellica also playing it safe.
I don't like Jack he's boring and too self conscious. He's so skinny yet has all these women throwing themselves at him lol
Danny wants to bitch but no one is willing too.
Waste of a housemate.
Ella is bored with no one to have a laugh with her age range. Chris and JoJo are glued together when possible.
Daley I thought was selfish taking the double bed immediately without discussion.
He's boring.

@Aquarius1234 totally agree that Patsy doesn't like a lot of them. She's been biting her tongue. I bet her thoughts are murderous 😂

Agree about Angelica as well, she's definitely playing it far too safe. Another one that doesn't want to say what she really thinks.

Yeah on live feed last night Trisha was being loud asking Patsy to bring in some food to another room. Patsy was pretending not to hear her then eventually did it.
Trisha is annoying but Patsy is even worse as she's holding back so much.
She will say little snippets but it's like getting blood out a stone.

Scorchio84 · 13/04/2025 13:53

Yeah @Aquarius1234 Patsy's really holding back, I wonder what she's afraid of? She has a lovely life & career & I doubt she'd say something THAT controversial to get her removed or "cancelled" but just sitting back & not engaging is disingenuous

Hopefully the next nominations will be a bit more honest & Trisha heavy

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2025 14:00

Patsy could be up if she doesn't cheer up!

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 14:01

I think the problem is that for any of the celebs who have seen previous years, there have been certain celebs who have totally ruined their images for being too outspoken or for their behaviour.

Notwithstanding those that have been removed that have been mentioned, I remember Jade Goody and Jo from S Club 7 who were absolutely vile and racist to Shilpa Shetty and came out to a lot of hate. And then that awful bitch Roxanne Pallet who has to leave the country.

There have been others over the years that the public have been surprised to find out their true selves are not as nice and loved as whatever character they play.

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 14:11

And I imagine Patsy feels she can't have an argument with Trisha because it will make her look bad.

Shame as someone needs to have an argument with Trisha! 😂

MrsPeterHarris · 13/04/2025 14:12

Totally agree @PrincessScarlett

What is Roxanne Pallet doing these days, I wonder?! Didn’t realise she had moved abroad.

8dateslater · 13/04/2025 14:12

@PrincessScarlett

I really thought the roxanne pallet thing highlighted just how paranoid the house makes you about public perception.

I really felt you could see the pull for people who didn't really believe her, but were scared to speak out incase they were publicly shown as defending a woman beater.

It was only really sally if I remember rightly who was able to be bold enough to do it

Even ryan who clearly knew what happened, was clearly worried that the public would be thinking something different

The relief on his face when the chanting happened really sticks with me.

You must be so paranoid about a comment out of place etc. I'd be worried mine would be a montage of me looking bored

Someone like patsy or danny will be eventually bold enough to say "this woman is irritating right?" But until then they will be waiting to see if they will be the person that nominated the lady with terminal cancer

When they do, the rest of the house will speak I think and the public will follow

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 14:15

Yes @8dateslater the relief on Ryan's face and also previously the utter distress on his face still sticks with me. He knew he'd done nothing wrong and couldn't understand what was happening. I do think CBB let it go on too long as he was in obvious distress.

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 14:18

MrsPeterHarris · 13/04/2025 14:12

Totally agree @PrincessScarlett

I think she fled to America and married an American guy. She tried to get herself back in the public eye by telling the story of how this American guy saved her but noone was interested 😂

I actually agree with you. I loved Prince but hated finding out about how badly he treated pp, especially women. He too had a difficult childhood. We put these stars on a pedestal and excuse behaviour we wouldn't tolerate in ordinary folk. It's just hard to let go of the fantasy...

I can see that- I'm sorry, my reply was rather harsh.. I get that one naturally wants to keep your image of celeb, esp if you've had it for a long time. It's not surprising the reaction is a bit split in other forums too : both groups rightfully (for the most part)see MR'S wrongdoing but Gen Z have less instinctual sympathy as they didn't first hear about him in his prime. I can def imagine that if something similar came out about Leonardo Di Caprio or someone similar my Gen grew up watching, I'd probs feel similarly...
Re Prince, I actually got into him recently and had a look at Mayte Garcia's book. His treatment of her was def v disturbing...I still listen to the music but it does feel a bit soured. Ignorance is bliss...

PrincessScarlett · 13/04/2025 14:22

Also re Prince I was shocked to see how badly he treated Sinead O'Connor and noone believed her at the time as she was a nobody compared to Prince.

AliasGrace47 · 13/04/2025 14:25

ChkChkBoom · 13/04/2025 09:38

Yeah it's strange. Nine and a half weeks isn't even a good movie (most people would struggle to name anything else he was in). He was 'quite' good looking (he was never of idol looks) for all of about 5 minutes in the 80's.
CBB is the pot noodle of the reality show world. It's generally barrel scraping in terms of celebrity, so just watch it and enjoy it for the trashy guilty pleasure it is! I can't be arsed with people getting philosophical about it.

I'm a bit mystified by people being so into 9 1/2 weeks too. I've seen shots of him in it & can see why he was a heartthrob.

But reading the summary, it seems like such a creepy film. Fifty Shades on steroids.. So he rapes Kim Basinger's character, makes her do humiliating BDSM, & people are saying this film was their great sexual awakening? It sounds more disturbing than anything else.

This has broken my purple heart, I had no idea

I didn't see the Roxanne Pallet series but I remember the furore & how bad I felt for Ryan, I think he went on to win did he? Absolutely agree BB should have stepped in sooner because he was clearly distressed & rightly so

AliasGrace47 · 13/04/2025 14:33

Asking her to pillow fight then hitting her w a heavy object...the man was very odd ... Not to mention setting his sights on Mayte from when she was 16 & her legal guardian...

sorry, this is becoming Celebrity Bad Behaviour. Let's get back to BB next thread.
