"Am I the only one who dislikes Jamie though? I feel her and Dave think they’re the power couple and are just coming accross so arrogant."

Jamie has disappointed me.

Lauren has not disappointed me because I did not expect much from her. Yes, she rude but I think Lauren had a very hard upbringing and I think this has made her hard.

Delatron · 14/04/2025 20:58

Livelovebehappy · 14/04/2025 20:55

The experts are going to call her out I think on her behaviour. Jamie’s speech about being a mamma bear looking after her cubs is a lot of BS I’m afraid…..Just hope she takes it onboard, because someone else is going to be a target now Lauren’s left. She has a way of closing people down and intimidating people into not having an opinion.

She should not have told Carina to shut her mouth (though Carina would have wound me up too). But did you see her name call or shout at Lauren?

She was very restrained initially faced with someone calling her a bogan and a troll. She was tipped over the edge by disloyalty from her friends and being called a mean girl (which she wasn’t).

Pianoaholic · 14/04/2025 21:00

Jamie doesn't hold back on her emotions, and at times it does her no favours.
You'd want her on your side and you wouldn't want to cross her!
But I find her likeable on the whole.

Dillite2 · 14/04/2025 21:01

It's a shame that not once was it mentioned tonight what Lauren called Jamie, and everyone else at the retreat.

Jamie is showing really great insight here. She's a good person.

Yep.

RancidRuby · 14/04/2025 21:02

That was an apology done well. She was very sincere so kudos to Jamie for that.

"The massive dick strikes again. In both senses."

Love it!!! I hope Awhina gets a massive media deal out of this.

No one asked her to be mama bear

True, but I understand where she’s coming from.

I can be fierce when it comes to standing up for the people I care about. Especially if I feel they struggle to have a voice.

It’s just a part of who you are as a person. You see an injustice or someone being treated unfairly/badly and your natural instinct is to speak up/defend them. It’s a bit like a reflex action.

Then when you have the realisation that others won’t do the same for you, it kinda sucks.

Jamie lashed out with her hurt (I tend to withdraw with mine).

Yeah Lauren is utterly loathsome but I don’t like Jamie now either. What happened at the retreat actually doesn’t matter. Her behaviour at the dinner party was so far out of line. She’s a nasty bully herself. Just in a different way.

I don’t agree with this. Not a nasty bully, albeit needs to learn about her reactions, which it seems she is able to do.

Livelovebehappy · 14/04/2025 21:03

Dillite2 · 14/04/2025 21:01

I think the experts did though? They referenced her calling Jamie a bogan and pretty much (rightly) tore into Lauren.

Donttellempike · 14/04/2025 21:03

Lauren did what narcissists do, they try to wreck relationships around them. And often succeed

Delatron · 14/04/2025 21:04

Still don’t like Carina or agree with how she changed the narrative. There was no mean girl behaviour and it was that accusation that set Jamie off.

At no point had Jamie lied or called anyone nasty names

browneyes77 · 14/04/2025 21:04

PuppiesProzacProsecco · 14/04/2025 20:55

But they also didn't stop her when she was standing up for them. They didn't say "no, no Jamie, it's fine, I can fight my own battles".

Precisely.

Appalonia · 14/04/2025 21:04

Can we hear from Dave..?

They repeated what she said tonight, nit what Lauren had said at the retreat, when she called Beth, the ugly mute, Jamie a troll, etc.

Yes. They never mentioned that

Me too. I think that is why some of us are resonating with her.

I can’t stand injustice, people being picked on - I’m more than happy to get involved!

RancidRuby · 14/04/2025 21:06

I don't think experts were aware of the troll comments, that was at the retreat and that supposedly only see the dinner party. I don't think it was mentioned at the dinner party.

academicallyblonde · 14/04/2025 21:06

Dave really doesn’t look very happy.

Pianoaholic · 14/04/2025 21:06

Oh dear.
That's when Jamie holding back a little would be a good idea, she'll scare him.off as others have predicted.

Villagetoraiseachild · 14/04/2025 21:06

All is not well with Dave.

RancidRuby · 14/04/2025 21:07

Dave looks panicked.

Dillite2 · 14/04/2025 21:07

Dave looks like he has done a complete 180 and has his eyes on all the exit signs.
