@Timeforaglassofwine yeah she lost it BUT I get where she was coming from.Id be mad too. Just wish she’d approached it quietly at the drinks party and said how she felt. I bet it would have been resolved. But that wouldn’t make good tv

Delatron · 11/04/2025 08:54

I do think it’s a shame Jamie lost it. She lost it as her ‘friends’ were disloyal and defending someone who was calling them all names. That must have been very hurtful.

I agree she went about it the wrong way and has now completely played in to Lauren’s hands. Who didn’t even have the guts to show up. Jamie has never called people names - she just demands the same loyalty in friends as she gives them.

Lauren must be rubbing her hands in glee. She has got away with some despicable name calling. It will be Jamie who is called out by the Ixperts.

Carina and her pathetic simpering would probably have me enraged too…

I will speak up if I think something is unfair, unjust etc but I could not do it with someone screaming at me. I’d have to say that I’d come back to it later when the situation was calmer. I grew up in a shouty violent household and had the misfortune to marry someone with a nasty temper. I just shut down when people start yelling because I know they’re not listening, they’re just angry and lashing out.

Jamie was acting very transactionally there I think. She was saying you owe me because I’m Muma Bear and if you don’t apologise how I want you to, then I won’t listen and I won’t be your friend. I will also throw you under the bus with your partner too, if I have that dirt on you (Veronica).

I genuinely think everyone is worse off now than they were before.

However, it is all so edited that we may not really be getting a true reflection of how it went down. I’ve loved Jamie up to now, so I’m
hoping this was just a really bad moment for her.

I think it was very edited, Carina's hood was up and down like a whore's drawers

Am I the only person on this thread who thinks Jamie is acting like a nasty bully?! She basically intimidated that apology out of Rhi.
And lashing out at Veronica too.

Edited

No. I really dislike her.

She reminds me of a school bully. Keeping her pack behind her who are never allowed to disagree. Or else

I also think Dave is fake. He says what he thinks will make him liked. I don't see much behind his eyes.

Why is Loz in that top when there is no spark?

Edited

I thought that!

she’s supposed to be classy and not fancy him, but she’s got her tits out in a cheap looking negligee.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 11/04/2025 09:47

Jamie seems to calm as quick as she explodes. I think she'll come back to reality and see her part in it too.

Lauren threw the meat and let them fight for it. Cunning.

loveawineloveacrisp · 11/04/2025 09:59

Also re Loz and the 'drunk bogans' comment (love that word, am incorporating it into my everyday vocab), what about the 5 margaritas incident? Does that not make her a drunk bogan?! It's giving double standards 😂

Outofthepan · 11/04/2025 09:59

I think Dave has a resigned look, the one my son gets when I’m on a rant 🙈

Doesn’t want to rock the boat, but it’s all a bit much for him

SittingontheSidelines · 11/04/2025 10:48

Have any of you watched "upper middle bogan"? It's on Netflix at the moment. It's a really funny Australian comedy and one of the families are "Bogan". I watched it a few months ago, but had never heard the word bogan till then. One of the leads was the wife in the recent drama where she had accused her husband of sex with her daughter's male friend which was also a very brilliant (and thought provoking) watch.

SittingontheSidelines · 11/04/2025 10:50

"After the party" it was called

I called my puppy an absolute bogan yesterday, when she peed on the floor. I had never even registered the word before this series 🤣

Actually for those who probably don't remember the programme Spitting Image, that clip of Lauren and Clint having dinner really reminded me of how John and Norma Major were very comically portrayed having dinner. I will see if I can find a YouTube clip.

murasaki · 11/04/2025 11:45

These peas are nice, Norma.

Carina's outfit is definitely giving off Kylie can't get you out of my head vibes, but I think Rylan is her actual inspiration.

And we all know who wore it best 😂

murasaki · 11/04/2025 12:01

That skit ingrained the idea of Major as the grey man in pants so deeply in the national consciousness that the Edwina Currie revelation seemed even more utterly than it was.

Outofthepan · 11/04/2025 12:02

She is actually quite Rylan!

cramptramp · 11/04/2025 12:02

Just watching last night’s. I think Carina looked like she was auditioning for the Traitors.

browneyes77 · 10/04/2025 19:42

I love Jamie.

I’m a chatty, fierce girly myself. And I can totally see why she’s feeling hurt and got vocal.

I totally get it. You put yourself out for other people and have their backs. And then those same people you expect to have your back, stay schtum and have your enemies back. And that hurts like hell. It feels like such a betrayal when you’ve put yourself out there to support others and don’t get it back.

Just like she said, they’re happy for her to get vocal for them, but aren’t prepared to back her and be vocal when she’s being attacked.

Edited

I’m a chatty and fierce person too, but I don’t need to shout to be heard. I could understand her feeling hurt but her reaction did her no favours. As evidenced by last nights episode.

Dillite2 · 11/04/2025 12:57

I have seen more chemistry and engagement between 2 dead bodies than there was before CLINT and Lauren at that dinner table. What do they even talk about all day every day? Is it just a constant stream of mumbles?

OP posts:
ExtraPaddingForFallingOver · 11/04/2025 13:08

Lauren and CLINT’s dinner looked bloody awful, I bet the pile of spaghetti was just congealed lumps
(a bit like the moomins bulging out of the negligee)

I completely agree.

Italiangreyhound · 11/04/2025 14:22

*greengreyblue *"I get where she was coming from" where?

*Delatron "*I do think it’s a shame Jamie lost it. She lost it as her ‘friends’ were disloyal and defending someone who was calling them all names. That must have been very hurtful." Or maybe the reality that they were not defending Lauren at all, they were upset at Janie's approach which made Jamie double down on her aggressive approach to them as well. Not OK.

" Jamie has never called people names - she just demands the same loyalty in friends as she gives them." No she is a loud bully. Lauren wanted to left alone, Lauren was rude, but Jamie was aggressive.

Carina had the guts to stand up to Jamie's bullying. I think Carina is right.

Delatron · 11/04/2025 14:32

@Italiangreyhound Yep different interpretations of the situation for sure. If someone called all my friends chavs, looked down their noses at me, called me a troll then I guess I would be pretty vocal back. I mean it didn’t come from nowhere?

If Lauren wanted to be left alone she should not have resorted to name calling. She could have said ‘I don’t want to talk about this’ - we all saw what she said. I think what we’re saying here is Lauren can say what she likes and nobody can challenge her? Ok.
