I thought this was a very moving episode actually, old friends looking out for each other. Not sure Phil has grasped how bad it will get though, I hope it’s realistic about how difficult caring for someone with dementia is.

Yes, me too, them sitting there with their toasties, the way he got Nigel some kitchen towel, it was very sweet. Which is not a word I thought I'd use about Phil.

Wish Phil and Linda would get together, they've supported each other so well for a while now.

I am hoping that Linda stays away from Phil tbh.
They are not good for each other really and she needs someone a bit more grounded.
Be nice for them to just be friends.

Perhaps Julie will move in with Phil and they look after Nigel together. Then Phil can have a busy house again and feel that he has purpose in life.

On a separate note, Ravi and Chelsea were good together.
Linda is too unstable for unstable Phil, she would be better suited to Alfie.
Now Kat and Ian could be interesting and Junior may have to find his next partner outside of the Square,

Kat and Ian ? She’s back with Alfie now , but I doubt that would work. Although I didn’t think that Ian and Denise would either , but they did ok for a little while once.

Not sure Ian would go for Kat, because she's his best mate's partner. Even Ian wouldn't do that.

Phil was just sectioned and is in AA. It seems that he needs to heal first before he can take responsibility for Nigel.

I have always had trouble enough believing that Teddy was some sort of dangerous cockney hard man. At least he has ditched the pastel shaded jumpers from his shoulders.

Teddy has ditched the jumper round the shoulders for now , but he has now replaced this with a flat cap far too big for him ! Needs a smaller size one.

The semiotics of Teddy's clothes. The jumper implies civilised, changed Teddy, the cap is needed to show he has reverted to peaky blinders mode.

The hat ages him. Mind you , I’m not keen on flat caps.

Teddy is what I imagine Paul Whitehouse would be like if he did a chirpy cockney character making fun of EastEnders.
