When I met my husband, I had 2 children and he had 3. A lovely older friend of mine gave me some fabulous advice that stayed with me. She said although you’ll love the stepchildren, it will never be the same love as you have for your own, it’s natural and OK, don’t put pressure on the situation.
12 years on, they are all young adults except the youngest and we have a fab relationship……it should never be forced,

I'm hoping that as soon as Katie meets the other women, one will tell her he's 'not her person' and there's no need to wallow or try harder.

I think he sounds drugged or under the influence of alcohol. He doesn't finish words and sentences but doesn't seem to notice. I would say drugs.

Katie demanding more from Tim was a painful watch, she's there with a drink and a bowl of food while he's retreated to his bed twirling his ring (not a pun). She's said from the wedding she thinks he's not attracted to her and she's banging on and on about it days later - makes me lose sympathy for her.

I'm glad they kept the short lived marriage between Eliot and Trad Wife in, for the glory of Tamara the mad sister scenes. Trad Wife said she was from "a broken home" - it's decades since I heard that phrase. They can sod off now though.
