To be honest I don't really blame Tim or Eliot, they want the kind of person they want. They may want to punch above their weight but that is their right (to want that, not necessarily to get it!)

The producers know exactly what people would like and are hoping for, and they chose to mix things up.

Also, Awhina and Adrian, she was very unhappy that Adrian couldn't say he would love her child. But he hasn't even met her son yet! He could have lied and said of course he would but he was quite blindsided.

When Adrian was giving his speech, he said he was a dad, (he went on to say he was a dad to a dog). I wonder if Awhina had any thoughts when she first heard he was a dad. If he did have a child, that might mean he would not want any more children, or that his time and his finances were diverted towards a child he already had with someone else. It's easy to want the other person to behave a certain way when we know we do not need to because those factors don't apply to us.

Yes, I think about this stuff way too much!

Harbourofdiscovery · 08/03/2025 04:37

I now know who Adrian the twin reminds me of, its been driving me mad..

Peter Drinklage, Tyrion Lannister from Game of thrones

Harbourofdiscovery · 08/03/2025 04:39

OOps, sorry se its already been mentioned!

I gave up trying to read the thread due to the ad blocker thingy

cardboardvillage · 08/03/2025 06:54

Tim reminds me of Flump

cardboardvillage · 08/03/2025 06:58

Tim The Flump is awful

I wish Katie would pull herself together . She's a wreck! Stop bawling love

CharlotteLightandDark · 08/03/2025 08:53

WeregoingtoIbiza · 06/03/2025 22:12

He reminds me of (a taller) Peter Dinklage

I said this to my daughter and she scoffed at me, I feel vindicated 🙏🏼

CharlotteLightandDark · 08/03/2025 09:11

I know this is so mean but Katie is a bit whiny, it’s kind of annoying. He is awful in every way though

Agreed. She needs to get angry at the way he's treating her and tell him he looks like a potato.

Italiangreyhound · 08/03/2025 13:07

It's very sad that Kate suggested stripping off and running around in the woods, and Tim said he would stay in the cabin and draw the blinds, or words to that effect. BUT if the situation were reversed and he was really into her, and wasn't into him, would we expect her to pretend! (I think not.)

FriendofDorothy · 08/03/2025 14:01

Do we have any more marriages next week or is that it?

CharlotteLightandDark · 08/03/2025 15:42

The older chap from Macedonia or wherever hasn’t been on yet so there must be

murasaki · 08/03/2025 15:59

Yes, I suspect two weddings and a bit of honeymoon catch up on Monday, more honeymoon and settling in Tuesday, dinner party Wednesday, commitment ceremony Thursday. But I'm probably wrong.

browneyes77 · 08/03/2025 17:53

So, according to TV schedule:

Monday - final wedding
Tuesday - dinner party
Wednesday - moving in together, launch of confessions week
Thursday - confessions week continues

Hope that doesn't constitute a spoiler.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 08/03/2025 20:13

@FriendofDorothy

There was a next time on Thursday.

It showed the older Greek chap and his wife and then the self styled 'Knight' with his sword promptly dropping his bride after he asked her to trust him.

So two more weddings on Monday for sure.

As always, if discussing previews at the end of the show are considered spoilers let us know

He’s a “warrior!”
With incredibly high self-esteem!

Doubleraspberry · 09/03/2025 07:34

Finally caught up with this week.

Katie should just never have been chosen. I think she’s a lovely woman but she’s been single ten years, is deeply insecure, and of course she’s showing some unhelpful behaviours when faced with such outright rejection. In an ideal world we’d all react to someone as unkind as Tim by telling him where to get off and walking away but low self esteem drives self destruction. She needed someone fundamentally kind and she got the worst kind of ‘nice guy’.

Any woman who is not conventionally attractive is quite aware that there are quite a lot of men out there who simply can’t be bothered interacting with women they don’t want to sleep with, even if sex isn’t actually in the mix. But at least we don’t usually have to marry them.

And suggesting a naked run in the Forest wasn’t being sexually predatory. It was a desperately ill-judged joke from someone inexperienced that needed to be met with an iota of kindness or humour. I’m finding Katie and Tim a hard watch.

I’m also assuming we haven’t actually seen the last of Elliot or the couple would just have been edited out.

Doubleraspberry · 09/03/2025 10:31

I realised I totally forgot to say that I think Jamie (married to Dave, Greek) is the best MAFS contestant I’ve seen in a long time. She is sharp and funny and self aware.

I am of course prepared for her to turn out to be a nightmare by week three.

rc22 · 09/03/2025 10:31

I'm behind (I do a big Mafs catch up at the weekend) so this has probably already been covered but why is Eliot criticising Lauren's handbag when he's hardly wearing the Aussie equivalent of Next or George at Asda?

I agree. She has Stacey Solomon vibes about her and I love Stacey Solomon!!

I think he doesn't want a woman who can buy her own hand bag.

Doubleraspberry · 09/03/2025 10:36

Eliot’s claim that he wants an intelligent woman is a total lie. Tim’s claim that he hasn’t got a ‘type’ is a total lie.

I am hoping she will be a Lauren or a Melinda and shout bullshit when it’s needed.
