Cassie's walking around with her tail between her legs, as Ken rumbled her nasty little game. Tracey saw through her but few others did, and Cassie's attempts to fool Tracey were lame. Hope still wants to be friends with her nan, but no-one wants Cassie around. She wants some love and friendship and support, but there's really very little to be found.

David wants someone to kill him so his family will be looked after. He wants someone to hit him with a car, these storylines are getting dafter! Kevin's got cancer it appears to be spreading, which is really quite worrying and sad. Rosie and Sophie haven't made an appearance yet, are they not worried about their dad?

Carla had her brother Rob's kidney, he's in jail for murder, under guard, but the guard is his girlfriend, and not be trusted, so escaping from the hospital wasn't hard. Abi's still struggling after seeing Mason killed, but trying to pull herself together. Her portrait of Kevin was a sight to behold, Debbie thought she'd be laughing forever.

Carla and Swain are still loved up, and Eileen's sister Julie's shown her face. She says she's got cancer, how awful if she has it too. Seems it's turning up all over the place. Leanne and Toyah's story has quietened down a bit, and the institution's in the past, Daisy's telling Daniel he's the baby daddy but he's not, I wonder how long the lie will last.

Jenny's about to be kicked off the deeds, at the Rovers against her wishes. Daniel's bailing her and Daisy out, and wants to make Daisy his missus. Max got a chunk of time in jail for setting fire to his house. And Dylan's incarcerated for possessing a knife, but is keeping as quiet as a mouse.

The Baileys have dwindled, and DeeDee where is she? Ronnie's still about, and easy on the eyes is he! I've probably missed something important I expect, and I'm sorry if I've missed something out. It's hard to remember everything and everyone, and make sure you don't miss nowt!

You would think Aggie would at least be mentioned. They could easily recast her for a guest appearance.

Clawdy · 03/04/2025 12:57

Or have Deedee talking to her on the phone - or maybe a mention that Aggie has Covid or something! "Yes, mum, I know you want to be here!"

Remainsofthehay · 03/04/2025 13:05

I don't know why is still watch this ridiculous show but I did think Ed Bailey was the most convincing he has ever been, and the whole post birth scene was very upsetting.

Micky and his wife are awful, I fast forward any scenes they are in. Charmless gormless idiots who bring absolutely nothing to this failing show.

Wishimaywishimight · 03/04/2025 13:49

@ThatBeverleyMacca My apologies!

Shellingbynight · 03/04/2025 13:51

@Remainsofthehay I agree with you re Ed, he was quite good in his scenes with D, he underplayed it rather than the usual hamming it up.

The Daisy actress is really phoning it in now, and I can't really blame her with these storylines.

I agree Kev is playing it well, I'm glad he has got a storyline of his own rather than being tacked on to Abi's shenanigans (although Abi is still trying to make it all about her).

I confess I fast forward through anything involving Mick and his Mrs, even worse nonsense than Daisy and the sting!

It is disappointing they have done this absurd falling out with Jenny, their relationship has been one of the best parts of the show and I enjoyed their witty rapport. Corrie was at its best when it was about building communities, now it is all about people out to get each other.

This episode is very upsetting for me, I had premature twins after eclampsia, and spent three days in ITU, and it was touch and go. The consultant said it was a miracle that all three of us survived. It was down to the amazing staff and the NICU, I thank god for their care every single day. And one of those beautiful twins is now an ICU doctor at the same hospital, making miracles happen.

You don’t know me but I just had to say that this is a lovely story! You must be so proud. Thank goodness everything turned out well and I hope it stays that way.

It comes to something when the Bailey men are talking more sense D. She has to have time to think about it. Fortunately the Very Serious Accident means she will get that time. Very cute baby.

Lauren’s back, staring at hospital beds again. And I agreed with what D said to her. Lauren was wailing and sobbing and manipulating about Frankeh, and D was very supportive to her throughout the Joel nonsense, and felt a responsibility to her and Frankeh. And then Frankeh got a transplant elsewhere anyway.

Just when I thought Daisy could not get any more ridiculous, we have a swindling plan.

I liked the scenes with Julie and Kev. Abi is a bloody nightmare, so rude to Julie. And I am so cross they are killing off Julie.

She's had 9 months to think about it! How much longer does she need to know her own mind, an adult and competent woman of above average intelligence, supposedly?

But yeah the drippy men in her life know better, of course they do!

Chez supposedly didn't know who he was paying money too, hence the scene with the paperwork last night and the name on it and Gemma revealing that Mick is a nickname derived from his surname, not from his first name. Chez was paying money to a Mark Michaelis, not a Michael Soandso... so he hadn't worked it out until then.

It's different now though, as she didn't know then that she might never have another child and certainly won't give birth to one again. Also I think it's probably far easier to say you'll give up a child before you've actually given birth to it and even for a while after birth, your hormones and emotions are all over the place so it's highly possible you might regret your decision.

Shellingbynight · 03/04/2025 16:06

She's had 9 months to think about it! How much longer does she need to know her own mind, an adult and competent woman of above average intelligence, supposedly?

No not really. She's had hours. Because she was giving up the baby on the basis she'd be able to have more children, and now she can't. She needs time to consider that.

And you say she's a competent adult, but she was taken in by Joel, so she isn't Queen of the Good Decisions.

And even if she could not know he was a psycho, there were an absurd amount of red flags. Joel was married when she met him and had a baby only a few months old. That would be enough to make most women run for the hills but DeeDee stuck by him even after she had discovered his lies.

Lorrymum · 03/04/2025 19:21

They could bring Aggie back with a new head, especially as her son, James has one! It is really stretching credibility that DeeDeed hasn't mentioned her Mum.

zanahoria · 03/04/2025 20:54

So what has happened to Danny?

I am still getting over how hammy that last minute phone call was

HurdyGurdy19 · 03/04/2025 21:23

Lorrymum · 03/04/2025 19:21

It really is ridiculous, isn't it. Where is Aggie now - she's still in the UK isn't she?

They need to recast Aggie if they're keeping the Bailey family.

At the very least, DeeDee could go and stay with her whilst she recuperates from her operation. But I don't suppose that will fit in with the storyline (I assume) of DeeDee falling in love with, and keeping, Laila.

GrandTheftWalrus · 03/04/2025 22:03

So deedee wants the baby now?

eggandonion · 03/04/2025 22:45

I think Sarah wants the baby now! Deedee needs to go and stay with Aggie, Aggie can mind the baby until she needs emergency surgery and Deedeeminds the baby...
Poor Danny, in a coma in that America. In Delaware maybe.

I thought that - why not a new Aggie? There’s no way on earth Aggie would have stayed away throughout everything that’s gone on in that family!

Empress13 · 03/04/2025 22:52

How beautiful is Laila! Just knew DeeDee was going to put in a complaint with the help of Aliya tho where’s the solicitor extraordinaire Adam these days? Haven’t seen him in ages! It really is ridiculous Aggie hasn’t even been mentioned once. Where is the actress who plays her she just seemed to have disappeared overnight very strange mind you continuity has never been Corrie’s strong point. Is Ken doll married? Those scenes with Todd were cringe worthy

zanahoria · 03/04/2025 22:54

I think Laila is trying to break Summer's record for the most dads of a kid on Corrie. She has already lost Joel and Danny might be on his way out before even meeting her.

eggandonion · 03/04/2025 23:11

Good point.

GrandTheftWalrus · 03/04/2025 23:28

Is Ken doll married?

That's what I'm thinking. I didn't see all of tonight's as was watching darts and the way he was rooting about for his phone and telling todd it wouldn't happen again etc.

eggandonion · 03/04/2025 23:33

He's up to something, poor Todd. He won't enjoy his curry with the upset.

I would see he say he is married

And probably not to another bloke

I am guessing someone will see him out and about with wife and kids soon

My money is on Julie

What if actress is on long term sick, could they recast her then? It's all very odd and there's been complete silence about her, much like Lucille in Call The Midwife.

Optimist1 · 04/04/2025 07:34

@Freysimo Lucille is back from the Caribbean and working in Walford as a journalist (Eastenders)!
