Cassie's walking around with her tail between her legs, as Ken rumbled her nasty little game. Tracey saw through her but few others did, and Cassie's attempts to fool Tracey were lame. Hope still wants to be friends with her nan, but no-one wants Cassie around. She wants some love and friendship and support, but there's really very little to be found.

David wants someone to kill him so his family will be looked after. He wants someone to hit him with a car, these storylines are getting dafter! Kevin's got cancer it appears to be spreading, which is really quite worrying and sad. Rosie and Sophie haven't made an appearance yet, are they not worried about their dad?

Carla had her brother Rob's kidney, he's in jail for murder, under guard, but the guard is his girlfriend, and not be trusted, so escaping from the hospital wasn't hard. Abi's still struggling after seeing Mason killed, but trying to pull herself together. Her portrait of Kevin was a sight to behold, Debbie thought she'd be laughing forever.

Carla and Swain are still loved up, and Eileen's sister Julie's shown her face. She says she's got cancer, how awful if she has it too. Seems it's turning up all over the place. Leanne and Toyah's story has quietened down a bit, and the institution's in the past, Daisy's telling Daniel he's the baby daddy but he's not, I wonder how long the lie will last.

Jenny's about to be kicked off the deeds, at the Rovers against her wishes. Daniel's bailing her and Daisy out, and wants to make Daisy his missus. Max got a chunk of time in jail for setting fire to his house. And Dylan's incarcerated for possessing a knife, but is keeping as quiet as a mouse.

The Baileys have dwindled, and DeeDee where is she? Ronnie's still about, and easy on the eyes is he! I've probably missed something important I expect, and I'm sorry if I've missed something out. It's hard to remember everything and everyone, and make sure you don't miss nowt!

Mick and Lou are dreadful, especially Mick. I suppose they are the ‘new Battersbys’.

Nice to see Evelyn again. I liked the scene with her and Audrey having a drink and bitching about their families, that was like the old days.

David, at death’s door 9 days earlier, is now skipping around without a care in the world. So now we know no.8 will be rebuilt, courtesy of Grasmere Drive. I think it’s great Audrey is moving in, she is needed now Gail is no longer there.

Clearly DD is going to keep the baby.

Daisy and Daniel get back together for the 485th time.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for Cassie? Because I don’t.

SabreIsMyFave · 15/03/2025 09:18

Stephen did an equity release on Grasmere Drive -can't remember how much though but it went to his wierd ex wife who was blackmailing him?
Michael gave Stephen the password to Carla's computer and he stole 250K which was held in a secret account
He died

Daisy got wind of it and got hold of Stephens diary and eventually stole the money and she and Jenny bought the Rovers
Then strangely the Rovers was in dire straights and Jenny sold to N&R

Not sure where the proceeds went but Carla found out they stole her money from Stephen and they were paying back £20 a week to Carla.
Carla then wanted the whole 250K back for her private kidney transplant which was funded by Betsy 😂 so she could pay her back -50K, can't remember what the other 200K was for?

Daniel offered to stump up Berties cash from his Mother's house sale to buy the Rovers back so Carla could pay back Betsy
Daisy wanted to Daniels name ont Rovers not Jennys

Shona blackmailed Daisy into giving her 40K not to blab about the Daniel drink driving/ Daisy car episode.

Are you still with me !? 🤣

@YesImawitch you really ARE a witch! 🧙‍♀️

That was an incredible recap. 👏

Thank you! I had forgotten half of that, but you have totally refreshed my memory of it all. Thank you! Smile

As a number of posters have said, I also LOATHE that new couple. They are just vile. 😖 They are trying to recreate characters like Janice Battersby and Les and Cilla. But they were funny - and Janice was OK really, just a bit gobby, and Les was (deep down) a good soul. Even Cilla was OK in the end! She was just a crap mum! (Til she married Les.) This new couple are hideous. Someone on Twitter/X said he is a nasty rapey pig, and she is an enabler. Come on Corrie, you can do better than this!

The new couple are just two new people the rest of the street can have affairs with most probably.

AmusedMaker · 15/03/2025 10:18

And I don’t believe a gangster like Harvey would just forget about the money thing once David pays him back. He’d kill David just for stealing his money.

Shellingbynight · 15/03/2025 10:20

@SabreIsMyFave yes it certainly looked as if he was intending to rape Daisy before Daniel intervened, despite her broken arm and recent miscarriage. I suppose he fits in with the rest of the characters who commit murder, arson and GBH but do we really need another one?😕

Well exactly! Let's have someone fun - and daft! Someone who makes us laugh.

Remember when Shelley dated someone she knew from some years back, and it turned out to be Peter Kay. That was brilliant. 😆

'Ooooh you don't look old enough to be Shelley's mother' he said to Bev.

'Oh thank you' she said (blushing.) 😊

'Oh hang on wait a minute, yeah I can see it now, it's in the neck. The neck always gives it away!' 😂

Brilliant!

Nowt like that in Corrie these days!

And they will be working in the factory or the pub or the bistro, or with Kev at the garage! Always got to work in the street! 😆

Mick does have the look of a mechanic, let's hope Kev isn't hiring. 🤮

@SabreIsMyFave I miss the old days when characters were funny and likeable, there was still plenty of drama without the police having to turn up every five minutes and arrest someone (or, if it's Kit, give them a kicking).

strugglingwithlife · 15/03/2025 10:43

They always make really quick recoveries in soaps, one day in a coma, the next day walking around like nothing was ever wrong with them.

JewelleryCat · 15/03/2025 11:11

PrincessScarlett · 15/03/2025 08:02

Mick and Lou are the worst couple ever to arrive on the cobbles. Both of them utterly unlikeable.

I totally agree and I’m not sure if they will be redeeming characters and become likeable like Mason became but right now, I don’t think they should have been introduced

eggandonion · 15/03/2025 11:43

Maybe their agent got the new people in at reduced rate? Doubtless they have hearts of gold yet to be discovered.

JMSA · 15/03/2025 11:47

Honestly, if David fell in the river, he’d emerge with a salmon in his pocket. Talk about lucking out!
It wouldn’t be for me though. I like a man who can stand on his own two feet and, although funny, he’s really just a loser.

DeathEars · 15/03/2025 11:51

I was half listening to this play on Radio 4 extra https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04h7ms6 whilst doing my ironing and recognised the voice of Betty, much younger and posher but very recognisable 🙂

Lorrymum · 15/03/2025 12:15

New couple are dreadful, 2 dimensional and badly written. No redeeming qualities that would make viewers warm to them which is important for a soap. People hate change and it takes a while for new characters to slowly "bed" and become acceptable.
Unbelievable that Daisy would ask (no idea what his name is, not interested) into the back room of the pub. I know she makes stupid decisions but even she would have known exactly what he had in mind. It certainly wasn't a cosy chat!

stampin · 15/03/2025 13:05

I think Lou's going to be ok, she'll be Gemma's friend.

Not sure there's any hope for Mick though.....but Lou loves him.....so.Confused

@SabreIsMyFave I meant to say - those lines from Peter Kay were great! In those days there were many brilliant one liners, often from Blanche. Tracey sometimes gets some good lines but then they ruin it by making her the villain in the Cassie storyline.

Daisy just had a miscarriage and we're supposed to believe she was thinking about having sex with that no mark. Terrible writing.

GrandTheftWalrus · 15/03/2025 19:13

I bled for weeks after my miscarriage no way was i thinking about sex.

The Cassie story was tedious enough without Evelyn and her beret returning from university.

JewelleryCat · 15/03/2025 20:19

I’d rather we have more Evelyn than Daniel flip flopping to whichever girlfriend, the crime and all the other storylines we aren’t caring about

The Street is the perfect place to live, you get an instant job. And no travelling to work either, it is always ''in the street''

Yeah, didn't Yasmeen say Evelyn looked 20 years younger now (when she saw her?!) Ooooooooh, I'll get me a beret!

I would like to look 35 instead of 55. I'm sure it will work! 😆
