Cassie's walking around with her tail between her legs, as Ken rumbled her nasty little game. Tracey saw through her but few others did, and Cassie's attempts to fool Tracey were lame. Hope still wants to be friends with her nan, but no-one wants Cassie around. She wants some love and friendship and support, but there's really very little to be found.

David wants someone to kill him so his family will be looked after. He wants someone to hit him with a car, these storylines are getting dafter! Kevin's got cancer it appears to be spreading, which is really quite worrying and sad. Rosie and Sophie haven't made an appearance yet, are they not worried about their dad?

Carla had her brother Rob's kidney, he's in jail for murder, under guard, but the guard is his girlfriend, and not be trusted, so escaping from the hospital wasn't hard. Abi's still struggling after seeing Mason killed, but trying to pull herself together. Her portrait of Kevin was a sight to behold, Debbie thought she'd be laughing forever.

Carla and Swain are still loved up, and Eileen's sister Julie's shown her face. She says she's got cancer, how awful if she has it too. Seems it's turning up all over the place. Leanne and Toyah's story has quietened down a bit, and the institution's in the past, Daisy's telling Daniel he's the baby daddy but he's not, I wonder how long the lie will last.

Jenny's about to be kicked off the deeds, at the Rovers against her wishes. Daniel's bailing her and Daisy out, and wants to make Daisy his missus. Max got a chunk of time in jail for setting fire to his house. And Dylan's incarcerated for possessing a knife, but is keeping as quiet as a mouse.

The Baileys have dwindled, and DeeDee where is she? Ronnie's still about, and easy on the eyes is he! I've probably missed something important I expect, and I'm sorry if I've missed something out. It's hard to remember everything and everyone, and make sure you don't miss nowt!

Just caught up with Friday's Coronation Street now ... (this morning.) I had a busy weekend! Got 2 days off now too, and it's sunny!

I also think it's disgusting what Shona did to Daisy, demanding the £40,000 off her. Quite honestly, I wouldn't have paid it. I would have said 'do your worst, you're getting feck all from me.' How could she even prove what happened? (All that while ago when Daisy hit her with a car?)

I would never give in to blackmail because there's no guarantee that person isn't going to come back and keep blackmailing you for more money. Over and over again. That's absolutely a typical trait of a blackmailer. They'll come for something, then come for more, then come for even more - because some people get very greedy and they know they can milk money out of you. Same with Harvey really. Is he going to be happy when he has his £40,000, or will he say 'well then, there's the interest too... Another £15,000 please.'

I think it's pretty sad that Carla's being so rotten to Bobby. He's just a kid, really. And he was just protecting his dad. It's not great, but she's treating him like a pariah.

I'm still dying to know what it is that Julie's up to and why she's being so 'off' with Eileen. It's all really strange . And I also wonder who broke into Carla's flat. And who was watching Betsy?!

@SabreIsMyFave There was CCTV of who was driving the car in the hit and run. I believe Kit deleted the one that the police gained access to but it wasn't clear if that was the only copy or not.
I think she gave Shona the money as a sort of self redemption because she believes that she lost the baby as karma for all the secrets and lies that she's entwined in.

That makes sense I guess. Hopefully Shona doesn't come back to Daisy for more money, when she, David, Max, or Lily get into trouble. And one of them will again! 😆

Oh and I also agree that Yasmeen getting a job in that London (again with no interview seemingly, like Bethany always seems to,) and pretty much unqualified, is an absolutely shit storyline. As has been said, Alya is her grandaughter, and is in her mid 30s, so Yasmeen must be in her early to mid 70s - the actress who plays Yasmeen is 70 this year, and the actress who plays Alya is 37. I don't understand why this random company is offering Yasmeen - this job.

Indeed, why would anyone even want to start a new job in their 70s? Most people I know 65-66+ have retired, and the few I do know who work after that age, do voluntary work - maybe 6-10 hours a month. There's only one bloke around that age that I know of who works (paid work) with my brother. He's 68 and he works 8 hours a week for beer money, and money for the bookies. And because he enjoys the company, (he was widowed 10 years ago and he's on his own.)

Seriously, Yasmeen starting this new job in London in her 70s is as daft a storyline as Evelyn going to university at nearly 80 and living in halls. Where do they get these stupid storylines from? Do they think Corrie viewers are daft enough to believe it?!

The exit storyline for Yasmeen is daft but I suppose at least they didn't send her to jail or have her stabbed, which are the usual favourite exits at the moment😆

I agree, Shona has been pretty awful recently, more so than she usually is. Good on David for telling Daisy the truth, I just hope this doesn't mean another David and Kit war. The less screentime he gets the better.

I'm guessing we have yet another prison drug storyline starting with Dylan😴

At least David behaved like a human being in this episode and was remorseful. As expected he is already halfway recovered despite his life threatening injuries a few days ago.

They have really piled the misery onto Daisy, I felt sorry for her last week but I am getting fed up with the sight of her now.

I liked the scenes with Julie. She has such great energy and Eileen and family are good value too especially Todd. It unfortunate for the plot that Julie looks the picture of health whereas Eileen is has lost a lot of weight and looks less well.

I fast forward through the YOI scenes.

Daisy’s karma was long overdue and I have no sympathy for either her or Daniel. She is a typical narcissist who only cares about herself and has an inflated ego. She pretends Daniel is the father of her unborn child for monetary reasons and he’s still sat at her hospital bedside pandering to her. Adam needs to have a serious word with him. He got rid of Sarah in a similar situation despite still loving her.
I can’t understand why David would insist on telling Daisy the truth about the ‘accident.’ He has no qualms deceiving people (including family) as a matter of course. His whole purpose recently has been to protect Max and Lilly and to repay Harvey.
It was obvious that Daniel and Daisy would want Bertie’s money back and hes now left himself wide open to a police investigation and still owes money. He has questionable morals generally so why would he suddenly develop a conscience to his own detriment. It doesn’t make sense.

Yeah I can't understand why Davids told Daisy.. but also I don't see how Daisy can do a thing with that information, to drop David in it, is to drop herself and Daniel in it!

No sympathy for her from me either, Shona's desperate, Daisy got that money by lying and cheating, and wouldn't have been in a position to do so if Shona hadn't kept quiet about the whole car theft/drink driving/hit and run. Kit knows Shona knows too I think... so he's also in the shit if Daisy tries to say anything about David and it all comes out.

I enjoyed the little mention yesterday that Carla is expecting to come into some money! With all the shenanigans between Daisy and Shona I had forgotten that the money was originally stolen by Daisy from Stephen who had stolen it from Carla. It is little Bertie I feel sorry for! Should be interesting when the shit hits the fan. I also really want to see Jenny get her comeuppance. I used to like her character but she has gradually become a nasty piece of work.

They didn’t bother to hang about with Yasmeen’s exit did they, a few brief mentions and she’s off. Where did Leanne get the money to buy the shares? She sold her Bistro shares but gave the money to Amy.

They have ruined so many characters with the Not Dead David storyline, but no doubt everyone will have forgotten it by Easter. I’m particularly irked about Jenny, a total character assassination and she still hasn’t got the money to pay the debt.

I agree David telling Daisy about the set up was shoddy plotting. He risks going to jail which isn’t exactly going to help his family and it was not going to make Daisy feel any better so what was the point, other than to ladle on more misery. Nothing will happen of course, she won’t get the money back (as if) and can’t go to the police. She will just glare mardily into the distance, which seems to be her only character trait now.

What I don’t get is why Yasmeen didn’t give Alya first refusal to buy her shares, why sell to Leanne? Also that was very quick for the shares to be sold, wouldn’t they need a solicitor and sign paperwork?

Isn't Zeedan in London? Yasmeen could just and visit him and decide to stay, it would make more sense.

It’s all very silly. She’d have given her beloved granddaughter a big say in who bought them. Not sold them rapidly to one of the worst people on the street. Surely she’d have needed to sell her house to fund her accommodation in London. And I’m insanely jealous that she’s packed up in 24 hours. We’ve taken nearly a year to decluttered enough to sell!

In soap land vast sums of money can be produced by dubious means and deposited in banks with no questions asked (banks ask where money is from if any unusual and huge transaction has been made) and properties/businesses bought with said cash. Wouldn't it be great if that was real life. No months of admin and appointments with solicitors etc etc.

Selling and buying shares in companies, something I have not been involved in, can not possibly be done on a whim with overnight completion. Not sure if Yasmeen actress wanted to go or was pushed but they could have given her a more believable story.

Shame on the writers and that's not just those on Corrie 🙁

Alya couldn't buy the shares surely? She has no job and presumably little savings judging by the way she was trying to pressure Adam into taking her into his firm again. Then again, Leanne has no money either and that didn't stop her😆

When i paid in a cheque for 7k after my gran died I was questioned inside out about it. No way could they just throw 40k about.
