It has been confirmed that Ten Pound Poms season 2 will begin on Sunday 9th March at 8pm on BBC One with episodes to air weekly.

Michelle Keegan reprises her role as nurse Kate Thorne in the second instalment, alongside returnees Faye Marsay and Warren Brown

In the trailer, which I Havnt seen yet - viewers can watch on as Robbie shares a tender moment with Kate as they rekindle their friendship

while a new character – Benny Bates (Marcus Graham) – is introduced with some words of wisdom for Terry.

The official synopsis for season 2 reads: "After a challenging first year in Australia, series two follows nurse Kate Thorne (Michelle Keegan) and the Roberts family (led by Faye Marsay and Warren Brown) into 1957 on their adventure down under, each determined against all odds to achieve their slice of the Australian dream.

"As Kate, Annie and Terry settle into their new lives, they each struggle to reconcile their hopes for the life they were promised with the harsh realities they face at Galgownie."

There are also some new characters joining for season 2, as the Skinner family arrive from Ireland "ready to enjoy their new lives in the sunshine".

Further casting includes Rob Collins (Mystery Road) as Ron, Leon Ford (Elvis) as Bill, Declan Coyle (Long Black) as Stevie, Stephen Curry (Hounds Of Love) as JJ, Hattie Hook (Savage River) as Pattie, Finn Treacy (The Portable Door) as Peter, Emma Hamilton (The Tudors) as Sheila and Cheree Cassidy (Underbelly) as Marlene.

Terry has such a temper! Both emotionally and physically. I hope they can overcome what happens.

Poor Kate, hope it's not the end of their relationship before it's really started.

I wondered if the ex-girlfriend was making up the pregnancy story to try and split them up.

Just started watching.

I think Michelle K is a good actress, but her fat lips and frozen face really jar, especially in a period piece. I just don't think anyone who's had that much work done should be cast in a show like this.

Is next Sunday the last episode in the series?

Seems a lot of unfinished ends will need a conclusion and I don't see how one episode will finish it! Which of course would leave it open to series 3.

It's been a really good series so far but too short. It's ending next week and there are too many open ends, yes for a series 3. Poor Terry "why did you tell me?" then getting so drunk. I like them as a couple.

I assume Mandy was preg as she was so off with her mums views about single mums at the table dinner

Just caught up with ep 5 . It's always been a mix of drama and lightheartedness but so many secrets , lies and misery in this one! Hope the last one this week is more cheerful .

Pity about Sheila being whisked back to the psychiatric unit though. I was thinking she should have taken JJ with her and not gone alone to see the horrible husband.
