Clutching at straws here, as per usual. Has anyone else noticed the little bald patch on Joe’s head? Noticeable from when he returned. I thought it was a poor buzz cut at first and the hairdresser had nicked his hair, but it’s still there. Wonder if he’s got something wrong neurologically.

I’m not sure they need to extract bone marrow anymore. I think they isolate stem cells from blood now , but 30-odd years since I knew someone who had a BM transplant. And Noah would have had a very sore hip if they’d done the traditional extraction that my friend’s son had— he donated to his little brother.

If it's nothing to do with bone marrow or kidney dialysis then what other medical equipment could require that suitcase size container? It's quite baffling and weird. Surely dialysis would take much longer than the short time Joe was in the room with mystery man?

Carla in Corrie has home dialysis, and it takes overnight. I don’t think it’s kidneys or bone marrow. But hey, who knows.
