It's Jacub down south... so I thought it was a northern thing, but appears not! Although the cub is pronounced slightly different to if I was talking about a baby bear. I'd say Cay- leb though.
I was on a thread once where it really kicked off over somebody saying they pronounce bath "barth". A certain poster wouldn't have it and just kept saying there was no r in bath so you couldn't describe the sound in that way 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I really laughed a few weeks later when I had Towie on with subtitles and the girl from Newcastle said she'd been learning to say "barth" in an Essex accent and the subtitles spelt it that way too 😂😂
