This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. There are quite a few people making apologies and feeling guilty this episode.

Ethel decides to keep the bounder's child.

Yes it is guilt and apologies all round

Meanwhile, there is at least one wedding this episode after all. Anna and Mr Bates get married in the registry office.

Ethel reappears. She's made her decision to refuse the Bryants' offer.

Ethel is not going to part with Charlie. Brave girl but life won't be easy

Anna and Mrs Bates tie the knot.

Ah well we did get a wedding. Anna and Mr Bates have tied the knot

Jane has given notice and will be leaving Downton. Lord G is sad but knows it's best she goes. He gives her money for her son.

Jane is leaving which makes life easier for his Lordship.

Jane has decided to leave. Lord G is feeling very guilty I guess and gives her some money as a pay off and which is to be for her son.

Ah, bless, Lady Mary has arranged a lovely room for Anna and Bates wedding night. That is sweet of her.

Did Jane really think this could go anywhere when she started making eyes at Lord G?

Lady Mary can be so thoughtful sometimes.

Oh, yuck, not sure I like the idea of Anna "having her way with Mr Bates".

She does have a good heart, when she remembers.

Mary's wedding present to Anna and Mr B is a night in one of Downton's many bedrooms.

Yes, and did Mrs Hughes know about it?

Yes, when Mrs Hughes said something like "maybe it's for the best", I did wonder if she knew what had been happening.

Lavina's funeral. Matthew is eaten up with guilt over what happened.

Daisy runs into William's Dad in the graveyard.

Matthew looks ghastly

Poor little Daisy she really fels bad hearing William's dad talk about them

Matthew believes he and Mary are cursed and this is the end. And here is Sir Pilchard again, always where he's not really wanted.

I don't think Mr Mason has a clue about Daisy's feelings over William's death. He assumes she will be as grief stricken as he is.
