This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. ooh the impropriety of Lavina being alone with Matthew in the bedroom, but the door is open.

Lavinia is raising doubts about the wedding. She heard what Matthew said and she saw them kiss. Bless her she is so understanding and kind.

Understatement of the century - Mary wouldn’t have done it as well as me.

Oh Lavinia being very sweet and self effecting. Just a little person ...

Lavinia tells Matthew she saw and heard him with Mary in the hall. She knows Mary is the one for Matthew and not her.

I do think that Lavinia really is a lovely person even if she is, as we agreed, a bit wet.

Hope Sir Tichard succumbs.

I prefer Sir Tichard it's a bit like Pilchard!

Anna confesses to Mary that she and Mr Bates are getting married on Friday.

Mary has sussed Sir Richard's motives for supposedly coming to help.

Wonderful how the good doctor is certain that if Cora lasts the night she will live.

Poor old Cora but Dr Carsons seems upbeat

Clearly, no one really understood the nature of viruses like the 'flu or they'd be keeping their distance.

Thomas is trying to work his way back into a job at Downton.

Sir Pilchard keeps Mary by his side......oh no, it's Lavinia!!!

Cora is seriously ill but Dr Clarkson seems confident that if she lasts the night, she will survive.

Thomas is ingratiating himself back into his old role.

Oh now it is Lavinia. This Spanish flu certainly was savage

Now they learn how bad the Spanish 'flu (by the way it originated in the USA!) really is.

Lavinia is at death's door - remember now that she said "I'll die if I can't be with him"

She knows she’s dying.

Oh no, now Lavinia has taken a turn for the worse.

How dreadful, they are stunned. Lavinia has died and Matthew is grief and guilt stricken now.

RIP Lavinia. Matthew is full of guilt as well as stunned by her death.

Oh that is so sad. Matthew is now feeling very awkward as well as grief stricken
