The Chase, anyone?

We watch the chase every day as part of dd (5)'s evening wind down routine

I think she's a fan of Bradley Walsh's banter and lighthearted hosting style

Do you have it on in evenings? Who's your favourite chaser? Mine is The Beast

He's on today and wiping the contestants out, love him 🥰

I love the Chase!!
Imo the Menace or the Beast are the best chasers but l would want to meet the Sinha man as l feel he is the weakest.
In the actual chase, l say "he/she will know this" about a million times.
Bradley Walsh is my not so secret celebrity crush -.love him!!!

Really? I think Shaun is much weaker than Paul. Paul is often quite poorly so he does miss a few shows but I believe statistically Shaun has the lowest win or correct answer record.

Can I make a confession? I sometimes stumble upon the Chase and like answering the questions, but I just can’t get my head around the rules! What is all the bidding and offering and pot stuff? Do you need to watch it for a whole week for it to make sense?

Same. I watch it the whole time but it so frustrating that they win nothing a huge amount of the time!
Beat the Chasers is my favourite.

I absolutely hate it when people take the lower offer! Just play for what you've won! Surely the point of going on a gameshow is to win as much as you can?!
I watched one on Challenge the other week, she got 7k and all the others told her to stay with that. She turned back and said I think I'll take the lower offer! Which was a minus sum!!! Makes me really irrationally angry!

Yes I saw that too and I'm still complaining to my son about it!! She took 4k off them and got through no problem and had done well up to that. Crazy.
I think Jenny is incredible. I wonder does she have a different look in real life?

Darragh was on loose women recently. He had a longish break because of bereavement. I think Ann has also had some health issues. I've auditioned twice for the show but not got through.

I love the Chase and ITVX shows it 24 hours a day if you need a fix!

Statistically it must have the lowest odds of any mainstream quiz show of winning a significant amount of cash.

We always laugh when they tell Bradley what they'll do with their winnings... 'I'm going to buy a new kitchen, pay off the mortgage and take the family to Disney'. Have they never watched the programme?!?

I watched an old one on Challenge this morning at 8am. The Beast was quite a nasty piece of work back in the day! I think they must have told him to tone it down a bit, as he's not as bad these days! He certainly doesn't like being outdone!
The rules aren't that hard to follow really. Win an amount in the cash builder. Then you get two offers, higher or lower than that amount. Higher and the chaser is closer to you and to catching you out, lower, further away, so you have more chance of getting back for the final chase. I think if I won a decent amount in the cash builder, I'd stick with that. You've still got a fair chance of getting through!
Some of the questions this morning were hard, if I'd gone for the higher offer I'd have been out in no time! 🤣

I've seen photos of Jenny looking "normal"! She looks a grumpy bugger! And very plain. I don't think anyone would recognise her on the street!

Darragh was a former contestant, he was really good!

Same, as soon as it comes on I head to the kitchen to start dinner and pop in and out of the living room

If it's the beast, I make sure to miss as little as poss

The beast has really slimmed down as well, maybe the meanness went along with the weight, bless him

I was on it a few years ago. We had the Beast and we won. He really wasn't happy and stormed off in a tantrum!
