Hen of the Woods mushrooms.

Fuck my life. Why always mushrooms. I'd slap someone. Can they come up with nowt but mushrooms

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:31

Andie so stylish tonight

ChonkyRabbit · 20/02/2025 20:31

I'm so underwhelmed so far. Not just with this lot but the whole series. Is it the brief or are they not getting the calibre of chefs they used to or am I just bored of the format?

Yep I agree.

Not sure what it is but I'm with you. Underwhelming

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:32

There’s no one I want to win and no dish I want to go through

jay55 · 20/02/2025 20:33

Underwhelmed too. Mostly as I thought it would be fun famous historical figures not all the unknown worthy sorts. Which I'm fine with celebrating but it doesn't make the themes on the plates obvious.

PotterHead1985 · 20/02/2025 20:34

Both Ahmed and michael said his venison was over yesterday (when the fecker was still galloping up the moors). God help us what it will look today

Wolfcub · 20/02/2025 20:34

Callum seems to be missing the spirit of the competition

Sunbird24 · 20/02/2025 20:35

Feels like mushrooms in practically every dish this week

I think the brief is good but, as usual, the interpretation of it is too inconsistent. Is it British people who have gone down in history? Is it unsung local heroes? Is it celebrities?

I don't think the chefs this series have gone to town on the visuals as much as they did in the past.

The chefs in past series, particularly early on, seemed to be more at the top of their careers whereas now it is more up-and-coming.

Spencer is the mentor next week. Spencer is the level I want from this show.

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:36

Spencer 🥰🥰🥰

EsmaCannonball · 20/02/2025 20:36

Having said all that, I think this dish from Callum is really on brief and clever.

Wolfcub · 20/02/2025 20:36

I reckon this dish gets a wild card to the final

Sunbird24 · 20/02/2025 20:38

Fucks sake Ahmed

It's great having a historian on

PotterHead1985 · 20/02/2025 20:38

More mushrooms

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:38

More mushrooms 😬🤣

Wolfcub · 20/02/2025 20:39

I love Andi

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:39

Me too

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 20/02/2025 20:39

It's a bit like the Eurovision Song Contest - it used to be famous acts and now it's buskers off the street. (To be fair, he was ace, but still...)

Yes, in terms of a banquet, famous historical figures would have been much more camp and dramatic.

littlbrowndog · 20/02/2025 20:40

Rember the pies we used to get. Big huge dramatic pies
