I think the father is Josh - Samson's scumbag friend who stabbed Mattie. He was in the show around the time April got pregnant.

It won't be Ross, not with the Ruby stuff running alongside it. He also actually cares for her like a daughter so I can't see them doing that.

I forgot about Samson's friend. I think it will be some random boy from school though.

My money's on some random. Definitely not Ross - that would be step too far after the Anthony story.
I remember Josh thinking he was God's gift to virtually any female but don't remember seeing him with April.

Who is her homeless friend (reminds me of the artful dodger!) I wonder if he will get more of a part now.

I think Amelia Flanagan’s acting was excellent. She’s only about 15, no experience of pregnancy, homelessness, going without food. It was a lot of emotion to chuck at a teenager and she handled it all well. Rhona said the right things, Marlon floundered. When she asked what happened to her baby why on earth didn’t he say I don’t know, I’ll find out and make sure you know.

But the woman who was stabbed that Marlon had to ID — holes in that storyline as the police must have realised she was at least 10 years older than April and bore no resemblance to her at all.
