The hugely anticipated second series of Am I Being Unreasonable starts on Wednesday 5th February.

I had mixed feelings about the first series, but will be watching again for Lenny Rush alone. He absolutely stole the show in the first season. A tremendous young actor.

Also, bingo cards at the ready for any MN references!

Two episodes in and I'm not really enjoying it. Lenny Rush is fabulous as always but the storyline is awful. Literally nothing has happened at all so far. And why doesn't she just go back home? Her husband can't just kick her out.

Ahhh I've just finished it, loved Yurgen 😂🤣 almost as much as Curtains and Kerry robbing from the shop haha bloody brilliant.
When's the next series Daisy May Cooper?!

thisoldcity · 12/02/2025 15:03

I've watched the first three episodes now and I'm disappointed with it so far. I love elements of it, but there doesn't seem to be a story this time around other than the chaotic aftermath of the memorial reveal. The first series seemed to have much more plot, with some real gasp out loud moments like the train scene. This is just rambling around.

E2 tonight

I read somewhere that DMC went into labour (early) during filming and the filming had to be stopped and the first episode was recorded when only some of the cast were available.

I've just watched the second episode and agree with you @thisoldcity I seem to spend half my time wondering what the fuck is going on, how they have a house like that and hoping Ollie will be in the next scene. There are flashes of brilliance that I see amongst my confusion about where the hell the story is going (anywhere?) I've made my mind up that the moral of it all is that adults are apparently self absorbed dicks.

Irreverent, thrilling and paranoid is how Google sums up AIBU. I'd say it's a self-deprecating parody meets French farce. (which isn't totally a bad thing) Jurgen comes across like a sketch show character.

Yurgen was a way of giving Charlie Cooper a role which I love

dontforgetme · 12/02/2025 17:03

Binged the lot and loved it! It wasn't as good as the first series but I don't think any programme ever is?

I need series 3 asap - Daisy, if you're reading !!!!

Also, I've been poorly today so also binged Rain Dogs again. Loved it even more than the first watch.

Rain dogs is superior to this, but im also finding it strangely compelling in an abstract sort of way
My favorite kind of painting is an abstract one

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2025 20:16

What is rain dogs ?

the80sweregreat · 12/02/2025 20:23

Blonds, DMC did a drama called ' Rain dogs' in 2023 on bbc one
She played a single parent and went to live with her abusive best friend Selby. It was good. 8 episodes

thisoldcity · 12/02/2025 21:53

I agree, I really enjoyed Rain Dogs as it was so bizarre but raced along really well.

The way AIBU is shot reminds me of The Change with Bridget Christie - sort of dreamlike and off the wall.

CaspersMum24 · 13/02/2025 17:43

I've just finished Season 2. It's just totally mad and off the wall. I loved it!

Newgirls · 24/02/2025 20:45

Bonkers but compelling

all came together at the end
