Over Daniel I know what a surprise
Gemma and Chesney are off on a trip
And Nick and Toyah are making us roll our eyes

Kevin may have cancer that's all that he needs
But Tim and Sally seem sound
Amy seems troubled I hope she's OK
And with Leanne and Tracey, mischief is abound

David and Shona are always on their toes
Scared of Harvey's heavies coming at them
Eva has left, will a few more will leave soon?
Will things be quite different by the next full moon?

All the old regulars don't appear much these days
Or any funny storylines or good feeling
It's just like The Bill with all convicts and thugs
And crime and violence that just leaves us reeling

Daisy is pregnant but who's the daddy
She doesn't seem to want to know
I wonder if we'll ever know or she'll keep it a secret
Now that she's decided she is going to keep it!

DeeDee's still pregnant I think but she's gone quiet
Lauren's been cleared of her 'crime.'
Debbie's still sassy, and Ronnie's still sexy
And Kit is in Corrie all the time!

Jenny is just reverting to type
She's not really smiley landlady, she has been hideously evil in the past.
I quite like it actually, Daniel is so fickle and led by his 🍆 so he deserves it
Was cringing at him being so smug !

It was only a few weeks back that Daniel was planning a wedding with Bethany. He literally tossed that magazine her article was in aside because he's now obsessed with Daisy again!
There's no way the secret about the baby's father won't get out. I was so annoyed when Daisy didn't blurt it out when Daniel was babbling on.

I was angry for Daisy the way he kept talking over her and I cant stand her. Hopefully the truth comes out and they both fuck off somewhere.

I think of Jenny as troubled rather than evil. She lost a child, was sectioned, her fiance was killed by Evil Stephen - and she had Alan Bradley for a dad. She's never killed anyone, committed arson, or been to jail so despite the con she's practically a saint by Corrie standards.

I forgot Jenny's dad was Alan Bradley. He terrorised Rita and was a great villain . (if you know what I mean)

Who was Jenny's mother?

I wouldn't put it past her to do any of those things to keep her poxy pub!

I think Daniel will give them the money, that storyline is fairly boring and has to be resolved somehow. Daisy will be racked with guilt but it'll drag on for a few more months before he finds out he isn't the dad.

Well there's not enough misery heaped upon the current inhabitants of Corrie so now they're dragging back old characters purely for the purposes of killing them off. Honestly, it's all so unimaginative.

This is something that drives me absolutely nuts in soaps/movies;

X: "I have something to tell you"
Y: "No, I have something to tell you"
X: "But this is really important"
Y: "Not as important as this"
X: "But..."
Y: Keeps yakking...

If that were me (X), I'd just say "For fuck sake, can you just shut up a minute!"

When large sums of cash are required in soaps there is always a character whether current or forgotten who can be brought back / killed off. Think inheritance 😘🙄💰. It's a lazy way to do it and Chesney's dad Les is a recent one. Daniel's money is from his dead mother's house.

Is Daniels mother dead or did she randomly give him the house?

God yes how annoying was that. When he was all like 'I know what you are going to say' 🙄Then just kept interrupting her every time she was trying to speak. Definitely needed to tell him to shut the fuck up and fucking listen!!!!

@MonickerMonica Jenny's mum never featured, she died which is why she ended up being fostered by Reet. Then her dad reappeared unfortunately for Rita!

Wiki has Denise absent but not dead. As far as I remember she gave Daniel the house as an apology for not looking after him when he was younger.

Ah I had forgotten about Denise. Ken has had so many wives and I can't always recall who belongs to who, which adult children are his or his nephews and grand children. I won't lose sleep though 🤪

Just realised that Ken's dead brother was a footballer many years ago and Tracy is loved up with Tommy Orpington. They've never mentioned Tracy's uncle David. Or have they?

I’m not sure what’s going on but it all seems a bit odd.
I must admit I don’t know the character at all as didn’t watch coronation street for years.
