January flew by in the blink of an eye
Leanne and Steve are getting close
Cassie is drugging Ken day after day
Dose after dose after dose

Abi witnessed Mason's very sad death
She's struggling to keep it together
Carla and Swain are still an item
I wonder if they'll last forever

Bethany and Daisy are always at war
Over Daniel I know what a surprise
Gemma and Chesney are off on a trip
And Nick and Toyah are making us roll our eyes

Kevin may have cancer that's all that he needs
But Tim and Sally seem sound
Amy seems troubled I hope she's OK
And with Leanne and Tracey, mischief is abound

David and Shona are always on their toes
Scared of Harvey's heavies coming at them
Eva has left, will a few more will leave soon?
Will things be quite different by the next full moon?

All the old regulars don't appear much these days
Or any funny storylines or good feeling
It's just like The Bill with all convicts and thugs
And crime and violence that just leaves us reeling

Daisy is pregnant but who's the daddy
She doesn't seem to want to know
I wonder if we'll ever know or she'll keep it a secret
Now that she's decided she is going to keep it!

DeeDee's still pregnant I think but she's gone quiet
Lauren's been cleared of her 'crime.'
Debbie's still sassy, and Ronnie's still sexy
And Kit is in Corrie all the time!

!

I love Julie's fabulous cancer bag that contains all her drugs and cancer leaflets

That she then loses

Shellingbynight · 24/02/2025 22:17

Do we think Daniel stropping around (again) is a big storyline though?
surely a bigger storyline is them killing off the lovely Julie for no good reason. They keep killing off good characters and giving us Swain, Betsy, Lauren….

oh I should have added Todd to the positives, always good to see him.

Edited

It was a nice bag. I did like the colour and I think it was quilted

EachandEveryone · 24/02/2025 22:32

Poor Julie it’s one death after another. It’s just not right they could’ve done loads with her.

Kev needs one

eggandonion · 24/02/2025 22:48

There's no reason to bring Julie back to die. Why would they think that's a good idea?

MonickerMonica · 24/02/2025 23:47

Tonight was the first time I've seen an unshaven and tousle haired Todd and I hardly recognised him at first. I know he's gay but I find him very attractive 😉 either in or out of his undertaker suit 😁

The Julie story is sad but also ridiculous and I doubt Todd will be able to keep it secret from Eileen.

Shellingbynight · 25/02/2025 08:13

The Julie storyline is a potentially really good storyline and involves decent actors. I hope they do not rush through it (some hope, with Corrie nowadays).

Todd has such great potential, he can do comedy and serious drama, he is completely wasted.

Clawdy · 25/02/2025 08:31

Two cancer storylines now. So depressing. And yes, how ridiculous that Daisy could get a job as an au pair to a family who'd never seen her, ( no references!) and she said she'd fly there the next day!

Lorrymum · 25/02/2025 08:32

Still can't get my head around the fact that Julie hasn't seen her family for 10 years but decides to return to Weatherfied to see a cancer expert. She wouldn't have seen them if she hadn't bumped into Todd.

stampin · 25/02/2025 08:42

@MonickerMonica I rather liked unkempt Todd too, he looked so different.

eggandonion · 25/02/2025 08:49

If only Jason would come back, he was always very watchable! At least Julie could have been given an illness with a cure, or something needing the excellent transplant centre.
Will Dylan and Max be in a private prison together, and could Daisy please be in jail.
I really need Maria, Gary, Summer, Aadi, Brian and Alina to appear and not be ill or criminal. Even Mary would be light relief.

Shellingbynight · 25/02/2025 09:09

I used to want a Jason return as I remembered him as a good character. But he is currently in Classic being a total caveman with few redeeming qualities, and I don't want him back! I never knew what Violet saw in him.

Let’s face it, we’d all return home for treatment if we had family living near “save practically everyone from every illness” Weatherfield General.

zanahoria · 25/02/2025 09:50

I used to like Daisy and Jenny together but all they do now is think up ways to con people so they can keep the pub.

They are on the growing list of people who have got away with crimes.

(I quite like "eyelash") @SabreIsMyFave 😜

😆 Each to their own. Grin

Every time I see Jenny ..I keep thinking about how she managed to fit into one of Daisy's top that time !!

It was such a ridiculous storyline !!

Anonym00se · 25/02/2025 11:14

The whole storyline is absurd. You have an enormous amount of money stolen (wasn’t it like £250K or something?) by an employee and discover it was then stolen from the employee by a neighbour.

Even though your business is at risk you don’t go to the police, you agree that they can pay you back 20 quid a week. It makes absolutely no sense at all.

CellophaneFlower · 25/02/2025 11:16

Jenny is despicable. She always was a selfish moo, even as a teen iirc.

Shellingbynight · 25/02/2025 11:56

Jenny is a great character but ruined by the Rovers-sale-con plot. Debbie and Todd are the only characters I can think of who they haven't managed to ruin (but give them time....)

I don't buy Daisy and Daniel as soul mates so this latest nonsense is of little interest.

Freysimo · 25/02/2025 12:07

Even more unrealistic is Bethany getting an article published in top mag within seconds of moving to London

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 25/02/2025 12:27

Gee Daniel was annoying last night!

Literallynoonecares · 25/02/2025 12:43

I liked Daniel initially. When he was first introduced he was a likeable person and the 'love story' with him and Sinead was really sweet. In typical corrie style though they ruined his character with the whole weird Nikki storyline and then him shacking up with Bethany before poor Sinead was even cold. He jumps from one person to another, claims undying love, messes up and then moves on to the next 'big love'. His has become an atrocious character.

thenightsky · 25/02/2025 12:48

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 25/02/2025 12:27

Yes, when Daisy was all psyched up to tell him the truth and he kept talking over her continually. I'd have clamped my hand over his mouth and said 'shut up for god's sake and let me speak, you wanker'.

Shellingbynight · 25/02/2025 12:49

@Freysimo It was ludicrous that any top magazine would want to employ Bethany in the first place (but let's hope she stays there😆)

I completely agree with you about Daniel @Literallynoonecares
He was a good character initially but it all went wrong a long time ago.
