January flew by in the blink of an eye
Leanne and Steve are getting close
Cassie is drugging Ken day after day
Dose after dose after dose

Abi witnessed Mason's very sad death
She's struggling to keep it together
Carla and Swain are still an item
I wonder if they'll last forever

Bethany and Daisy are always at war
Over Daniel I know what a surprise
Gemma and Chesney are off on a trip
And Nick and Toyah are making us roll our eyes

Kevin may have cancer that's all that he needs
But Tim and Sally seem sound
Amy seems troubled I hope she's OK
And with Leanne and Tracey, mischief is abound

David and Shona are always on their toes
Scared of Harvey's heavies coming at them
Eva has left, will a few more will leave soon?
Will things be quite different by the next full moon?

All the old regulars don't appear much these days
Or any funny storylines or good feeling
It's just like The Bill with all convicts and thugs
And crime and violence that just leaves us reeling

Daisy is pregnant but who's the daddy
She doesn't seem to want to know
I wonder if we'll ever know or she'll keep it a secret
Now that she's decided she is going to keep it!

DeeDee's still pregnant I think but she's gone quiet
Lauren's been cleared of her 'crime.'
Debbie's still sassy, and Ronnie's still sexy
And Kit is in Corrie all the time!

!

I can't keep track of Ken's children either!

David was married to Irma Ogden who I loved. Ken was the brainy one but I didn't remember David was a footballer.

And he played for Weathy County

zanahoria · 25/02/2025 20:06

I would love it if they brought back Patrice - Jenny's French exchange boyfriend.

Although they would probably give him cancer

Shellingbynight · 25/02/2025 21:18

Corrie seem very keen on ailments at the moment. Their success with Paul's storyline seems to have prompted them to go full on misery with a variety of characters.

eggandonion · 25/02/2025 23:52

Gail was lucky to escape with just a heart attack.
I hope Julie has a miracle cure, I'm not ready for more hospital and death.

zanahoria · 26/02/2025 07:48

They will have to start doing the sponsored bike rides to send her to Germany for treatment

Shellingbynight · 26/02/2025 08:11

I don't know if Julie is staying for the duration, but I doubt it? I hope we don't have to see her die. I too want to remember her as she was!

I think of Jenny as troubled rather than evil. She lost a child, was sectioned, her fiance was killed by Evil Stephen - and she had Alan Bradley for a dad. She's never killed anyone, committed arson, or been to jail so despite the con she's practically a saint by Corrie standards.

Edited

I can't remember if Jenny was married to Johnny Connor but he died trying to save her when they went down the sinkhole at Gail's and were trapped in the water. More tragedy for Jenny.

Shellingbynight · 26/02/2025 08:47

I think they were married. Jenny has never found happiness.😧

I'm desperate to know the reason for her return. It can't be just to die as 2 cancer storylines and bringing a character back just to kill them off is too much gloom even for corrie scriptwriters surely?

CellophaneFlower · 26/02/2025 09:30

Perhaps she's going to bond with Kev over the cancer stuff and they'll have an illicit affair 🤔 Please God, no 😫

eggandonion · 26/02/2025 09:33

I have a nice neighbour who was offered a drug trial with very late stage cancer. He is now OK...in a wheelchair, but out and about. Surely the super hospital has cutting edge research.
Or Julie is pretending to be ill.
Or something. Please don't kill off a bright character corrie.

zanahoria · 26/02/2025 09:35

She was married to Johnny who despite having MS dived into save her.

I never understood the sinkhole stuff

A fake cancer plot would be worse than a genuine one

What became of the sinkhole? It's not really mentioned.

Shellingbynight · 26/02/2025 09:48

The sinkhole was filled in a long time ago.

CellophaneFlower · 26/02/2025 09:50

Is Julie supposed to be on her own now? Seems odd to me she's looking into special treatments to buy herself a few months, yet wasn't even going to go and see her family?

I get she doesn't want to be a burden, but surely she could have visited and said her goodbyes without them actually knowing they were forever goodbyes? Would have made more sense if she'd turned up to see Eileen out of the blue than an accidental meeting and she had no intention of seeing her at all.

MonickerMonica · 26/02/2025 09:58

Some of the above comments have prompted me to ask does anyone think Julie deliberately forgot that pink bag as she'd know Todd would find her and discover what was in it? He had no business opening it in front of her but again....lazy writing. The leaflet "confirmed" the cancer as those many bottles and pills wouldn't have instantly indicated what they were for.

All farcical how it happened.

zanahoria · 26/02/2025 09:59

SabreIsMyFave · 25/02/2025 19:26

Yes it is an odd storyline. Hopefully there is more to it ... And Julie isn't dying.

With the bag and leaflet stuff I thought it would a usual soap thing where they assumed she had cancer and later on she would say "I never said I had it"

but later on she admits to it and says there are only a few months left.

Although she looks well on it was knocking back the cocktails

I can't imagine, if this was the case, that she took it purposely for Todd to find though. Unless she's in cahoots with Debbie, she'd have had no way of knowing he'd be there.

Shellingbynight · 26/02/2025 10:03

I thought exactly the same, that it would have been better to have Julie turn up to visit without disclosing her illness, then get found out. I don't know why Corrie always choose the most ridiculous option when a normal sensible one is available.

Julie did look far too well. My friend was diagnosed stage 4 cancer in 2020, but to look at her you would have no idea she was unwell as the treatment she's on is holding it at bay. But if she had only been given a few months to live I doubt she would still be looking like that.

MonickerMonica · 26/02/2025 10:23

@CellophaneFlower

Yes I get your point re how would she know she'd bump into Todd BUT she could have been doing her own bit of spying/stalking to ensure she did "accidentally" meet Todd. She's already been seen hiding across the road spying on Eileen.

I've got to stop thinking about this 😁🙄

Haha, I'm the same... just hoping it's not some pointless storyline! I'm the same with Emmerdale at the moment too... I'm desperate to know what part of Noah Joe is after 😂

I've just had another thought too.... Eileen has been awol for ages. Is she OK in real life? Could it be to explain her disappearing again... as in she goes off to help julie with her alternative treatment 🤔

eggandonion · 26/02/2025 11:14

I really want Julie to be in cahoots with Debbie, they are both bright and brilliant. Todd could be in their gang.
The rest of them are dreary.

Shellingbynight · 26/02/2025 12:07

Eileen has been doing other work - she was in Sister Act - so was away from Corrie quite a while.

No point trying to make sense of something that won't make sense
