Anyone watching? I don't even particularly like her but think I'll watch

OP posts:
mantaraya · 19/01/2025 18:26

Just watching it now and it doesn’t add up. The alleged alcohol problem started after his surgery so just for the last few months of the relationship and yet her mum has been so worried and witnessed so many things to do with alcohol over the years?

Totally agree. Molly and her team are clearly trying to do damage control. It won't come across well to admit that Tommy has been coming home in a drunk/drug-fueled mess ever since Bambi was born.

I think previous posts about her looks etc. are a bit shitty. She's obviously deeply insecure and in a bad place mentally, no need to put the boot in.

Isn’t she just beautiful?

Yep, love how she will turn up makeup free.

Spondoolie · 19/01/2025 18:54

Gosh. So surprised to read all your replies on here.
I thought it was sad and desperate, and she is so meh, so bland.

I kept asking myself, what is the point of their lives? What have they actually contributed to the world.

Found it really quite odd!

BlondeMamaToBe · 19/01/2025 18:57

I enjoyed it but I never miss her YouTube videos either.

shayri · 19/01/2025 18:59

the white/cream/beige house was totally without character or interest wasn't it? Beautiful but bland. She seems like someone who would
snap very quickly if a minion wasn't doing as they're told to. She was talking as though they've taken a break and will inevitably get back together, so watch this space....
can't believe we have to wait till spring for the final 3 episodes to drop!

Mollysay · 19/01/2025 19:56

I watched it out of curiosity, I'm not a fan nor a hater, I don't know her of course- don't want this to sound harsh but it is impressive how she's built such a brand for herself amongst the many many other influencers out there when shes fairly bland. Fair play to her and wish her well, I don't think anyone else on LI will be able to ever recreate the success she has had. She does look so much different in the doc compared to her social media (as a lot do), she looks great in the doc hopefully she realises she doesn't need to filter and edit her photos (for her sake and for her followers).

Same here, just watched out of curiosity.

I think she is a hard worker and ambitious BUT I think she was very much right time / right place and has been incredibly lucky. I don't think she offers anything special or unique, she just got into Instagram at the right time.

And that is the case with a lot of people these days, and I guess always has been. The world moves so fast these days with tech etc and somebody who gets in there first often does well.

If it wasn't her it would be somebody else.

And fair play to her.

I do find all the hype around her strange though. I don't see much of it because I'm in my 40s and not really her target market, so she's not particular on my radar. I do remember a bit of noise about their breakup, but I found it strange to see all the social media clips (on the documentary) from young girls, posting videos of them reacting to the news and saying how shocked they are and omg poor Molly at home with a baby etc etc. They were just speaking like they were so invested and like they knew her personally. Just so alien to me.

I also found it sad how both her parents said they wished she was still just working in Boots and living a normal life. She does seem very stressed by it all, and that must be hard for them to see. But by the same token, she is so wealthy. If she's so stressed by it all, just stop. Invest her wealth wisely and she'll never need to work again, just life her life out of the public eye.

ThatRareUmberJoker · 20/01/2025 20:28

The problem is with Z Listers is that their fame doesn't last that long. It's all about making as much money as possible in a short amount of time with very little talent. She's 25 give it a few years and I am being generous she will be gone. Then the next pretty young face will be on the screen. I feel sorry for them and their need for fame.

They buy fancy cars and big houses and when the work dries up they have to find ways to pay for it. She needs to earn a living that accommodates her lifestyle that's why there's a documentary. She would be better off using what she has left and educating herself before the well runs dry.

Totallybannanas · 22/01/2025 19:00

She seems very self absorbed, not really sure what is the point of this documentary is. There's no real inside scoop, it's just look at me I'm a single mum managing my own business, it's so stressful and life is so hard because everything needs to be perfect! It's really boring and of a pity show. What does she expect from customers who have spent over £100 on a blazer that is not fit for purpose, of course people are going to be upset and direct it at her.

I came away feeling the same, what's the point of it all. I didn't watch Love Island so missed all that jazz, being early 40's I'm not the target audience for content creators/influencers/people who flog things on insta to impressionable people.

She's clearly driven and ambitious on what appears to be not that much talent, and I'm not sure why a whole documentary series has been afforded to her. Not a crime though I guess and there are more irritating social media figures about. Right time right place and luck maybe.

The whole Tommy Fury stuff is a bit contrived. He's what, 25, with a baby but probably wants to be out doing what other 25 year olds are doing - partying and having fun - but he couldn't due to his strict past training regime. Not excusing his parental duties that he now has but everything seemed to be her way or the high way.

Will I be tuning in to the last 3 episodes, yes I will 😂.

WomensRightsRenegade · 22/01/2025 20:36

It was deathly, deathly boring. Mollie seems like a sweet girl, but essentially talentless. It’s very hard to see how her 15 minutes has lasted so long. Her ‘breakup’ with Tommy doesn’t add up either.

sky1267 · 22/01/2025 20:46

It struck me how lonely and empty her life is. Her house is just blank and soulless. She seems so miserable and anxious despite being so rich and famous, every part of her life just seemed fake and one dimensional. I actually felt sorry for her.

I also felt she seemed quite disconnected from Bambi.

ThatRareUmberJoker · 22/01/2025 21:06

Anyone what ever age you are and if you're older you should hang your heads in shame. They're "Back together" obviously in their 3.5 million mansion. Tommy will never be as good as his old man in the ring. Tommy Fury is a television personality and so is Molly Mae. They need to keep the lifestyle going some how. I hope you watch every episode and lose all your brain cells.

Mollysay · 23/01/2025 06:12

Apparently the documentary was supposed to be following her and Tomny as they plan their wedding, no doubt with the actual wedding filmed as the finale. Which makes more sense than why they'd follow her round not doing much! I wonder if she changed her mind about wanting the wedding filmed and so the 'break up' was a way around that commitment.

LaFidola · 24/01/2025 23:45

I've just watched the first episode.

I'm slightly baffled by the fuss about her. I'm a reality TV veteran (not on it, just a viewer!) and saw her and Tommy on LI. I thought he was thick and unattractive and she was bland but clearly could do better than him.

I don't follow them so this is the first I've seen of them since LI, barring the odd thing in the news.

It all feels like such an alien world to me. Everything is filmed, the point of life seems to be to record it. Amazing she has been so successful but it seems so empty.

She also lost me early on when moaning about the press and their interest in her life and relationship. She met her fiance on a dating show and has relentlessly documented and monetised her life. There was no recognition of this at all.

She reminds me a little of Paris hilton with her baby girl voice when she's 'on'. I think there's quite a different molly behind the insta life and now "stressed single mum" narrative in the doc. If it's all so hard, why not invest the millions and live a quiet life?

FTTTC2025 · 25/01/2025 00:04

I watched it and follow her on IG, didn’t watch LI or her YT. I really like her. Think she comes across really well and normal, I also think she’s beautiful in a refreshing, natural way. I’ve always really liked molly as we constantly see influencers and models with loads of makeup, following an almond diet and having insane figures. I look at molly and see something close to my own body! She enjoys her food, doesn’t exercise and is often without makeup, joggers on and hair up. It’s so refreshing. I feel she gets so much unnecessary hate and I don’t understand it. I feel like you could see how much the Tommy stuff was upsetting her and don’t think it’s a PR stunt, especially when he came out a couple days before it aired to get his version out first. There’s clearly more to the relationship than we see but as she said, that’s her daughter’s dad. She is right not to slate him and divulge every detail.

Thornybush · 25/01/2025 23:03

Lafidola that's really nasty calling Tommy "thick"
Uneducated perhaps but that is a horrible thing to say , shame on you. He's from a traveller family and normally education isn't prioritised. Many cannot read or write. He really had no chance of being academic with his background.

Are you serious with the money he has he can go educate himself. He owns a 3 million mansion should I feel sorry for him? Like fuck

LaFidola · 26/01/2025 18:11

@thornybush I made no reference to his background or his education. I'm not easily offended so saying 'thick', to me, is just a descriptive term. I could say 'not very intelligent' but serves the same purpose.

Intelligence and education are not the same thing.

I appreciate my post was a bit grouchy but I was tired and a bit frustrated at a fairly moany documentary about a person who chose the exact life she is leading, doesn't seem to want to retire from the limelight and yet still moans about it! I reiterate though, good on her for the success she's had but maybe try to appreciate it a little more (or a lot more) than comes across.

Having watched eps 2 and 3 now too I almost feel like she's been set up. It can't be doing her any favours.

He doesn’t own it - it’s entirely in Molly’s name.

I suppose without you buying into her she will have to leave her big house. That's why she has put this series together she needs the money. Honestly, I rather watch paint dry. I prefer to watch a film or a good drama. I can't stand reality TV or TV personalities it's short lived. All you have to do is look at Katie Price and what she's doing to keep herself relevant it's sad.

Molly Mae has no talent she got lucky until the next pretty young woman comes along who wants to be a TV personality and that'll be the end of her. My partner doesn't get it he thinks she looks odd (he said worse about how she looks I can't repeat it here).

Inkanta · 08/03/2025 15:48

She's obviously very talented at what she does - and a natural talker. The theme is very repetitive - that she's a perfectionist and hard worker but vulnerable. Something is missing - it lacks soul. The relationship with Tommy isn't clear and it isn't clear what went wrong. Is it alcoholism alone - I don't get that. I sense the relationship was/is one sided.
