Maybe murdering someone from the woods is a good ploy. It would panic the faithfuls who were in the woods.
I don’t see the point of murdering Lisa. Nobody suspects her.
I think murdering Leanne would be a good move.
I would keep Leon & Alexander in as there is still suspicion on them from the card game.
I also thought what Alex said about Linda made perfect sense. The trouble is the faithful are paranoid so can’t think logically.

I want Joe to stay so I have someone to shout at

You could just buy an Eeyore stuffed toy that moans

‘I don’t know what’s going on!’

’Am I LOSING my MARBLES???’

’I’M a BIG PERSONALITY, ME!’

when you push a button.

I wouldn't underestimate Charlotte. She's already proved she's an accomplished liar with the accent thing (she knows a posh accent will have her down as a threat) and then not telling Minah that she'd heard Minah's name being touted. She's clever.

Yep, she's definitely a good lier. Also I think playing as a faithful has given her some advantages like good relationships where she talked/ voiced opinions/ banished etc in a way that is less suspicious.
Minah has been very careful and some people are onto that. She's not as close to people like Frankie and Freddie. However I do think Minah is very capable of outsmarting Charlotte. The way she went for the 'clique' + Dan and got them banished was amazing.

@samarrange They get £100 per day while they remain in the game - as compensation for loss of earnings. Seems very low to me, but there you go!

How does a presumably employed teacher like Joe get time off in May unless it was filmed at half term? Even then he has been in it for longer than a week's filming unless he is between jobs at the moment.

He did teacher training with a friend of my DD and she's 22 so presumably they've only just finished their training ? So he might be between jobs

Pumpkincozynights · 17/01/2025 12:38

I’m wondering if Joe is looking for a way out of teaching.
How boring must it be to be taught by him?
An English teacher too. English teachers should be full of drama and passion. They should be interesting and invoke passion. He actually said he was useless at maths too. Don’t they have to cover other subjects? He obviously cannot cover any other lessons.
I would fall to sleep if I had to listen his monotone, dull voice droning on.

JessyCarr · 17/01/2025 12:38

Joe’s first job as a teacher was starting in September 2024. He is 37 - I wonder what he’s done before? (Edited: he is teaching English and Drama!).

Charlotte is way more interesting as a Traitor than she ever was as a Faithful. I think Minah may have underestimated her.

Pumpkincozynights · 17/01/2025 12:40

Just seen your post happiness I thought Joe was at least late 30s. He could easily pass for 40.
Good lord the bar must be set very low for teachers these days, no offence.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 17/01/2025 12:43

If Joe, Leanne, or Jake themselves win, myself will be unhappy.

H34th · 17/01/2025 12:44

Ariela · 17/01/2025 11:30

If they tried to murder Jake and failed - Jake won't know, but I think, when they've all turned up at breakfast, he'd be straight in there to crow about having the shield and not telling most other people. He strikes me as arrogant enough to do that without thinking about it.
Minah could then announce (after Jake admits to the shield) 'actually they tried to recruit me but I turned them down, I really don't think I could be a good traitor, I'm better at spotting them, after all I voted at the round table for both Armani and Linda (true) - that could satisfy them all and take the heat off her completely. If they then asked 'why didn't you say earlier you got recruited?' (once Jake revealed he had the shield) she could say 'I tried to get a word in but nobody was listening'.

If I was her, that's what I'd do

Do you think she'd be believed?

If they try to murder Jake, Alexander is definitely getting banished as he was the only one in the woods group who didn't know who had it. People don't seem to like him. Pretty sure he wasn't told because they are watching him and trying to prove themselves right about him.
The irony is it took Alexander no time to guess who really has the shield.

Some of the players already chatted about the potential recruitment, saying it would be the ultimatum type, so I don't think they'd believe anyone at this stage saying they declined the traitors' invitation but still stayed in the game.

JessyCarr · 17/01/2025 12:45

Could Joe perhaps be a failed actor? @happinessischocolate does your DD’s friend have any gossip?

He’s pretty convincing as Gloomy Yorkshireman. Though perhaps he’s actually a cheery upbeat type from Somerset and is just in a persona, like Charlotte’s Welshness?

I'm a bit scared for Frankie tonight - her name suddenly seemed to rise yesterday, and I really like her.

I love Frankie.
And Alexander.

If Minah wins I won't be sad either.

Which I guess is why when Linda and Fozia were opening up the Faithful secrets on Uncloaked it said Leanne was an Army Officer without the Ex in it. It was filmed before October and probably the day after they both left.

God I hope Leanne hasn't left the army because she won!

Leanne's partner was diagnosed with cancer last year and they have young twins so Leannesself could have left the army because it's not very compatible with caring for children and a sick partner so it's not an indicator that herself has won.

With you on all of those.

Choux · 17/01/2025 12:56

It's irritating me almost as much to read everyone's myselfs / themselfs as it does to her the words spoken on the Traitors!

Any chance you could keep your myself to thyself?!?

bookmarket · 17/01/2025 12:56

I'm putting in having just been a lurker for the past few weeks.

I don't understand why Jake told his group but not Alexander. What will that prove to Jake if Jake is targeted? To him it could still be anyone in the house or Alexander who is a traitor. And if he is not targeted that doesn't prove anything, to Jake, either.

This might have been fine over, but why are people still thinking Alexander could be a traitor when he was the 2nd player to win at the card game. He had Anna to vouch that the game was a game of chance. Leon is the only one who has no witness to how the card game ended between him and Fozia.

I'm enjoying watching but at the same time really irritated that they've enlisted a bunch of z-list wannabes with low critical thinking skills and fragile egos who think it is a popularity competition rather than a strategic game.

bookmarket · 17/01/2025 12:59

If only Alexander and Fozia had not got off the train. The season might have been better if they'd been in from the start and had more of an 'in'.

Turkeyhen · 17/01/2025 13:00

@bookmarket isn't that the flaw in the format, the cleverer, more interesting players tend to get murdered or banished early on and you get left with the dullards? (see Series 1)

Sure, but why cast the dullards in the first place?

We've not had a lot of Minah's talking heads since peole started dropping her name, have we?

Maybe tonight- hope she's on to Charlotte lack of Sister Sister act

I also can't believe that they still think anyone in the card game might be a traitor....although they could have since been recruited of course no one is applying any logic. Alexander is trying but the more he questions things the more it is seen as traitor behaviour. I have no idea why as he is clearly really trying to work out who the traitors are and is very much playing catch up.

At this stage I'd be looking at anyone who is trying to fade into the background/keep their head down. I guess that's why Alex was banished.
