Did anyone else find it weird how casually Curtis threw out that he ‘cut his mum out of his life because she was being a mum’ and he didn’t want to hear it? Obviously families go through struggles etc I just thought his wording was weird and to cut your mother out completely, rather than just step away/have space for a while after an argument.

Especially when he essentially said she was just being a mum and he was an idiot, if I was Ekin I would have found that totally off putting! But of course she saw it all as drama and planted one on him 🤣

Just watching on catch up. Wow, Ekin acting was completely deranged. She 100% was laughing through that little scene with Curtis! If you ever needed proof that LI is scripted then there it was!

Just finished episode 18. Well tbh fast forwarded some of it - especially the girlies moral outrage tutting at Ekin ‘he’s being a cad, babe” 😂.

Ekin - that crying performance (her botoxed face barely moved) - not bad for a Turkish mid-afternoon soap opera!! But hardly convincing! I thought it was interesting the way it was going rather negatively for her (Curtis told her she wasn’t being authentic), so she suddenly took control of the situation, kissing Curtis and telling him how great he was!

The blonde bombshell seemed more authentic to me - but who knows maybe she has a hidden core of steel for getting the man she wants 😜.

No he's the guy who had a "fight" with Joey over Grace. They squared up to each other. Then the islanders chose to send him home when they had to pick from the least faves.

I don’t know, he may have been being quite insightful and mature. Young men do need to “separate” from their mother - a stage they need to grow through in terms of their masculinity - to make their own lives, meet a woman, etc. Who knows perhaps she was more involved in his personal business than he wanted. But he was positive about her just being a “mum”, so seemed sweet enough to me.

Over acting from Ekin, but I can relate to how she’s feeling, even if she’s playing to the camera a little.

Curtis is awful, sleezy and icky, but worse goes all in fast to his first partner and then revels in the attention of a bombshell, and gaslights his original partner into believing they are in the wrong when it is his poor communication trying to string them both along. Awful behaviour, twice now he’s done this. Openness is what is needed and not pretending to be closed off when he obviously wasn’t.
