Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Oh god, so G has left the incriminating shovel in his car and Ian already has him a marked man too :(

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 12:02

What is Ruby up to with her laptop?

NowNumber5 · 22/01/2025 12:15

Honey trapping Councillor Sleazeball I think.

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 12:17

Ahh, that makes sense.
The councilor was a ' throwback ' wasn't he;(

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 22/01/2025 12:19

Bianca 'I'm a poster girl for broken britain'
Reiss (a literal murderer) 'true' 😄😄

Edit sp

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 22/01/2025 12:31

Agree re mo - what she's saying is a bit much, doesn't really fit, even for the local busybody

I've heard far worse stuff said IRL 😔

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 12:44

Reiss didn't see what he did as ' wrong ' .
Where do you start with that one?

About eastenders or aimed at you

I've heard awful things said to me too tbh, far worse than on eastenders

Shellingbynight · 22/01/2025 13:33

I look forward to George's adventures with the snow shovel 😆

80s I’ve watched Corrie since Elsie Tanner was a lass (almost 😆) and I loved it for the humour and characterisation. Now it’s all issue and plot led and they have ruined well loved characters, and actors are leaving by the bucketload. I agree with South that there are too many episodes, each one is an hour long which feels like an absolute slog. I dip in and out, whereas I never miss EE.

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 13:38

Has Gail left Corrie now?..
This business with the shovel is ridiculous
They could have washed it and buffed it up a bit and put it with the other tools they must have around ?
If it's in his boot , I foresee a moment where Ian ends up seeing or looking in the car boot , but why he would do this I haven't worked out yet !
Because G is bound to forget he was going to dispose of it ..

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 13:40

The police would have searched places before now surely ( for the weapon used on Cindy ?)

Exactley. They could have just sprayed it with some anti-bac given it a bit of a wipe and propped it up in the corner of the cellar. The shovel shaped black package did make me lol though.

It's all got so ridiculous lately. I'm actually looking forwards to Phil's upcoming MH storyline as I know he will be brilliant at the portrayal.

Reiss needs to get in the bin pronto.

Martin is so thick.

Can't deal with Ruby's teeth and wobbly lip.

Market storyline is a load of shit.

Sharon so thin now. Still hate jumpers.

Denise needs to change out of that burgundy trouser suit.

Fed up with Yolande and her misery and her wonky wig.

Where's Tommy?

Is Alfie still impotent?

What's happening about Jean's cash?

That's literally 10% of my questions. Glad to get it off my chest but gotta go back to work now 😀

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 22/01/2025 14:08

Speaking of wigs, Sharon's is finally looking better today

Agree that soaps should be character led rather than plots aimed at headlines

Bunionbabe · 22/01/2025 14:34

As Bianca keeps telling Reiss to confess and he says 'I can't ' does that mean he accepts that she knows he's guilty? He doesn't say 'I didn't do it'. Bianca could have offered him a deal whereby she and Reiss bring up the baby as dad and aunt and she keeps his secret in exchange for her freedom. Could buy her some time. Also, yes, Mo is a gross and disgusting old cow.

Shellingbynight · 22/01/2025 14:35

80s - yes Gail left on Christmas Day.

I agree re Sharon's hair, it is looking much better lately! It actually looks like hair rather than a terrible wig.

RedToothBrush · 22/01/2025 15:53

I'm loving how Reiss doesn't think that a video of a distressed Bianca in a garage with soundproofing on the wall and being noted as missing by Sonia's friends being given to the authorities by him isn't going to make him look like he's up to no good. At best they'd see it as obstruction of justice and arrest him (leaving Bianca to die in her own wee) and at worst I'd arrest him immediately for kidnapping!

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 16:13

I'm clinging to the hope that the lady Barrister gives the phone to someone with more than two brain cells and they work out that Reiss is up to no good.
I did read online that Bi is released next week, poss Monday , but no real idea. Hope so.

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 16:16

Catinboots
Jean was told that the bank can't recover her cash from the fraudsters.

the80sweregreat · 22/01/2025 16:18

I bet the market is ' saved' on Billy's wedding day ( the anniversary day)
I can see a big old line up of all of them cheering that they ' overcame the council ' or something like that.

thisoldcity · 22/01/2025 16:21

@Shellingbynight I ended up dropping Corrie a couple of years ago, after some ridiculous plot involving guns. I'd watched it since I was a kid but I've also watched EE since the very first episode and I like that they keep cast members for a long time - Sharon, Ian, Phil and others - so you see long term stories play out over time, which pays off I think.

Yes, I like the long term characters and I think I've said before on here, I also like the long term background actors like shrimpy, Tracey, and Winston. I remember many years ago Jonathan Ross's Mum was an extra for years until she got the sack for leaking a storyline.

Grant is coming back for the anniversary...

EastEnders turns 40 on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. However, we won't have just one episode celebrating the show's milestone - instead, we will have a whole week of special twists and turns.

...just as we have Phil's suicide storyline coming to a head.

😄😄 jonathan ross' mum leaked storylines??

Yeah agree, love the background actors

What would've been a good idea would've been each of them getting a storyline for the 40th, instead of whatever cc is trying to do
