How to long to persevere with Better Call Saul?

I loved breaking bad. I want to love Better Call Saul, I know people say it’s amazing. I’m about 4 episodes in and not feeling it at all. Is it a slow start? Does it get more gripping?

Hmm. I loved it, but can’t say at what point it kicked in! I know I tried the first episode more than once. On balance, I enjoyed it even more than Breaking Bad.

I think it took halfway through the first series to get hooked. But do persevere. Kim is the best character in anything, ever, and how the actress didn’t win multiple awards I will never know.

Loved it, thought it was better than Breaking Bad & that was phenomenal but it took me a couple of goes to get into Breaking Bad.

I was hooked from 1st episode of Better Call Saul. If you're not feeling it, just leave it with Breaking Bad & the feel good factor from that.

It took me a couple of goes to get into breaking bad as well which is why I want to try a bit longer with Saul.

We loved it but we disliked the first 3 or 4 eps. It really does improve.

Keep going. It's slower than Breaking Bad, but worth it.

I persevered with it and DH couldn't get passed about 3 episodes. I really enjoyed it. It was slow going at first but gets better and in the end I preferred it to breaking bad.

It's the best show I've ever watched, far superior to BB (which I loved!). Please stick with it! It's so worth it x

It's better than breaking bad really, but it's a very similar show. I mean -obviously- but it's about a guy slowly sliding down a certain path.
It's a different kind of show, and a more thoughtful one. Stick with it- it really adds to the Breaking Bad story and Kim is just amazing.

I agree it’s better than BB (in some ways) and I loved BB, though I was warned that BB started oddly, which it does. Keep going with BCS. If you really still don’t like it after say ep 8, call it a day.

I loved it. The finale of season 1 really did it for me. The black and white vignettes p'd me off though. I was more interested in Saul the lawyer than his post crime life!

I preferred it to Breaking Bad tbh.. but it all depends whether you feel interested in Jimmy/Saul as you will be spending a lot of time with him!

I watched the whole lot but I don't think the first series is very good at all. Depends how much patience you've got!

It took me 3 attempts to get into it and I only did so because DH kept saying how good it is.
He was right. Stick with it. It takes a while to get going but once all the pieces are in place it gets really good.

I've watched a few series but to be honest that's over a few yrs when I think to give it another go. It's very disappointing in comparison to breaking bad.
