So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

She did have a glint in her eye though when she walked past Robs cell door. Perhaps we're going to have a prisoner/guard relationship to make it current!

Bored with Lauren. She's got to be found guilty surely, she's admitted she hit Joel which caused his death. Even if manslaughter in self defence is the verdict, that must be a prison sentence?

Abi (Sally Carmen) is 17 years younger than him in real life. And like you say, the age gap is glaringly obvious!

She always looks a bit 'meh' in Corrie. (Her character obvs.) In real life she is very pretty. Not sure how many posters know this, but she is with the guy who plays Tim - in real life. (Joe Duttine.)

They look a lovely couple, Sally and Joe and I think she’s a good actress. She’s playing this amazing with the visions of Seb. I don’t remember who asked or if it’s been answered but the actor who played Seb came back to film the vision scenes

Yes, both lawyers did far too much smirking and eye rolling. And the prosecution one bawling at Lauren was ridiculous.

I agree @Roryno Lauren did kill him and it can’t be ‘self defence’ given the fact they tracked him down and then threw him over a bridge. So she can't avoid jail, even in Corrie!

@SabreIsMyFave Kev has looked older than his years for a while, but it really showed last night. And it's fairly obvious Sally has had ‘work’ (I think we've talked about it before) so she looks particularly good (for a car mechanic😆 ). Yes I knew she is with ‘Tim’, they seem a nice couple. But Abi is an awful character.

Why did they have to include the nonsense with the other prisoner, and Frankie being ill? Did they not think a murder trial was enough, they had to load yet more misery onto Poor Lauren. As for ‘Frankie needs me” - I doubt he’d miss you standing by his cot sobbing and arguing with your boyfriend. Shouldn’t she have had a prison officer in the room with her?

Leanne and her pity party need reminding what she did to Jamie - slept with his dad.

Has Tracey left Tommy O? Maybe the lure of Weatherfield was too much for her.

I could be wrong about the prison officer. I thought she was talking to them in the cell later on, and also thought that they would have been in isolation afterwards, not allowed to meet up in a cell! But I’m only ever half concentrating when I watch. Apologies everyone.

I haven't seen yesterdays yet but I definitely thought she was giving him the eye in the episode where the brother kicked off. It wouldn't be the first time Rob got a women to do his dirty work and help him so I suspect that's in the pipeline!

Roy is always useless in court not sure why they picked him although they did not mention he had sacked Lauren.

On the evidence that they have presented Lauren does look extremely guilty and they also have not mentioned that she changed her story and that makes her look unreliable.

DeeDee is an amazing lawyer, she managed to instantly dig some dirt not on a witness but on some random loon mouthing off in the gallery

Has Roy done something different with his hair?

The age gap between Kev and Abi is not helped by the fact that he acts like a grumpy old man and she is forever a bratty teenager. They do share a sense of self righteousness, always railing against the world about injustices done to them while completely forgetting their own crimes.

Kevin has looked really poorly for years imo. I posted about it yesterday. He's an alcoholic and I'm not sure he's won the battle as he constantly has the shakes and looks pretty unsteady in general. Unless he has another neurological disorder or something, I really don't think he can be sober.

Interesting that Corrie have had plots about racism and the far right, but none about non white grooming gangs, too much of a hot potato I suppose.

Tbh I think the colour of the perpetrators is not relevant-it's rife in the UK and its malegrooming gangs which is the relevant point.

Lauren. What is there to say that hasn't already. Her wet eyes and sniffing were meant to be convincing but the sniffing did it for me. Did the director say Lauren you need to sniff every 8 seconds in this close up, don't forget now!

One last thing. Have I missed some legal detail or can a person claim self defense if they aren't actually being physically attacked when they killed the victim? 🫤 Or is she claiming self defense on Max's behalf?
