I like Drag Race and Tayce was good in his season but I would have voted for Tam/Nikita and that dreamy VW, had I been in the audience.

I'd normally watch SCD at Christmas but wasn't feeling it this year. Not interested in the people. We watched Some Like it Hot instead, it was great.

I never watch the Christmas special - I like the “journey” (cliche I know). I think I’d find the Christmas special a bit perfunctory.

Absolutely loved the 20y celebration episode though. So much to love about it. It’s so obvious that Tess and Claudia see SCD as more than a job and are passionate about what they do, their respect for the show really came across.

Anyway we thought Gladiator Harry was pretty good, would put him in the competition proper as he seems to love it...and Tamsin in too.

I haven't watched and probably won't I'm not much of a fan of the Christmas spesh really. I'd prefer a highlights package

As is usual for Xmas special they were all under rehearsed and over marked, but that goes without saying except when they cast former finalists or total ringers.

If you're thinking of catching up on iPlayer don't make my mistake by watching it sober.

I liked the Gladiator guy, he seemed to genuinely love dancing, I'd love him to do the actual Strictly show. ( and he's v nice to look at too..) 😁

He was on celebrity Masterchef this year too. He seemed really lovely.

He won because he actually was the best.
Not my favourite dance though. That goes to a man dressed as a penguin.
I am in awe of what the winner can do in heels though. I can barely stand in them!

Yes of course he was the best. Strictly is a mixed sex competition and he took nothing away from the female contestants by winning.

I’ve only watched the clips of each dance, not the programme, but I thought the winner’s dance looked a bit frantic and messy, partly because the wig was far too long and got in the way, and I thought Tamsin’s dance was better but probably less of a crowd pleaser. Fair play to Kai for managing the lift.

Well as there were four male celebrities but only two females I would argue that something was taken from a woman - the chance to participate.
