Awww Dan's surname seemed ironic before but I bet he is a Merriman now.

I didn't know his surname before. Does that mean his great-great grandad was in Robin Hood's gang?

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 12/12/2024 22:00

Well, my lovely chuffs, that’s us for the year. Have a banging Christmas and New Year, see you for next year’s shenanigans.
And for one last time...
FUCK OFF GREGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Theeyeballsinthesky · 12/12/2024 22:01

Thank you for being such brilliant company ❤️

merry Christmas and a final resounding Fuck Off Greeggggggg

TheDowagerCountessofPembroke · 12/12/2024 22:05

Well done Dan.
Can Gaston and Dan have their own show? Travelling the country trying local produce etc.

Breadcat24 · 12/12/2024 22:06

They were all brilliant. Fantastic to see. Whatever Masterchef bollocks has been around in the last few weeks it is lovely to see new fantastic chefs highlighted

EsmaCannonball · 12/12/2024 21:24

For god's sake, George. Don't tell Gregg that you get perfect balls when eating your granita.

GregG: "Awwah, may-a-a-te"

LaMarschallin · 12/12/2024 22:11

Yes, YEs, YES!!!
<bangs table with hands à la When Harry Met Sally>

Loved Dan, had a soft spot for George...
Meh, Chiara'll survive regardless (and is bloody brilliant despite being totally slappable).
Good series, I enjoyed it.

I'll be interested to see what happens with the presenters post Gregggg-gggate, but please, BBC: consider @EsmaCannonball to write the voice-overs. She's done sterling work all through this series <doffs cap>

AtmosAtmos · 12/12/2024 22:13

Merry Christmas, Chuffians - looking forward to MasterChef without the speaking cock.

I agree. Chiara was great and certainly didn’t lose, but she has the confidence and background to be able to achieve regardless. Dan could do with the leg up and boost this will bring.

There's an image I wish I hadn't seen. Instead, I'm thinking about wonderful Dan. His surname! Merriman. What a great name for a Michelin-started restaurant.

End of an era then… who knows what will happen with the MC franchise now?

Well they advertised for the next professional series at the end of tonight so...

I shall with baited breath to see what they do with the recorded amateur series. I shall miss conversing with ye over the Christmas episodes. I'm glad to finally be back

Well done Dan.

TV series please for George and Gaston.

As will I.
I'll be lying there, tongue out, surrounded by bits of undercooked lamb, overcooked fondants and various chawanmushis...
Just see what my exhalations may attract.

Blueberrycreampie · 12/12/2024 23:21

Caught up now and yes, so happy for Dan - very emotional. Great hanging out with you all, thanks for the lols. Merry Christmas to everyone! 🌲🥂🌲🥂

Yes, and they were pursued relentlessly by George's great-great-grandad who worked for the Sherriff of Nottingham.

Chiara's lot were hanging out out with minor Italian aristocrats and sucking up to the Borgias.

It gives me the absolute rage.

Me too! Really pleased for Dan but George was my favourite 😍

KittenPause · 13/12/2024 00:31

I'm crying too from Dan winning

They were all bloody brilliant and cooked to perfection

Congratulations Dan

Yes, about 10 years ago, maybe.

According to my Facebook memories it was exactly 12 years ago today! I thought was a cop out choosing two so wasn't happy with that result then.

I missed most of the latter part of this series, but I was thrilled Dan won. His reaction said it all really.

Saw this and I know it's Ladbible and therefore tosh, but it made me laugh.www.instagram.com/p/DDZTgGivJb_/?igsh=Z2Z0czBrdnJ0bndz

You say that @Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride, but I’d seen the same elsewhere! Still didn’t know how seriously to take it mind…

MsXmasGGMasterTwat · 13/12/2024 21:05

Just caught up, made me cry! Dan was excellent all the way through wasn't he.

God, he’d be funny for about a season, then he’d get very very wearing. He might be good on sleb MC, as it’s the least serious.

With Gaston slaying all over. Bloody lovely

MsXmasGGMasterTwat · 14/12/2024 18:25

I didn’t realise that Chiara worked at the River Cottage! That’s a fairly decent professional profile.
