Gregg's face as Chiara described her dish! Bet he looks like that when he calls certain premium rate phone lines.

(Her dish does sound good, though.)

LaMarschallin · 25/11/2024 21:42

Greggg's lost control of his lower jaw again at the mention of meringue

GrouchyKiwi · 25/11/2024 21:42

I'm also not a fan of sticky toffee pudding. It's the dates. I know you're not meant to be able to taste them but the thought upsets me.

Halsall · 25/11/2024 21:43

I don’t like it either - it’s too sweet.

Shhhh (tell no one, I omit the dates from mine)

I love it but I do put a very generous slug of whiskey in the sauce, takes the sweet edge off

I will graciously allow you to cook me a sticky toffee pudding then, Potter. Grin

EsmaCannonball · 25/11/2024 21:44

Nooo! George, I like you! Why are you cooking lamb on the bone on this show?

LaMarschallin · 25/11/2024 21:44

Me too, PotterHead1985

Yep, because I love cherries - but I don’t like dates and I’m not keen on very sweet toffee sauce. Horses for (sweet) courses!

Dates are rank I won't lie

Marscapone? That well known plant based dairy product.

viques · 25/11/2024 21:45

I don’t like it when chefs do things to strawberries. They are perfect just as they come, maybe with cream and a bit of shortbread, but nothing else.

PotterHead1985 · 25/11/2024 21:46

I hope that was the correct blast michael. After the previous blast disaster

I may be in the wrong place to admit this but I've never had Sticky Toffee Pudding. I don't really have a sweet tooth though I will make an exception for Tarte au Citron or Christmas Pudding.

EsmaCannonball · 25/11/2024 21:46

'The colour's the key.'

Cuts to ice-cream the colour of whatever's been dredged from the bottom of a canal.

fourquenelles · 25/11/2024 21:46

Bye bye Michael

AtmosAtmos · 25/11/2024 21:47

I have a feeling that the contestants get asked about who they cook for. when they get an interesting answer the production team build a “story” by asking similar questions. - ditsy, ego, loud, ..

PotterHead1985 · 25/11/2024 21:47

'Isn't really set' is a bit generous michael. It's pissing liquid

Chiara's meringue reminds me of grubs I made for my kids' birthday cakes (yes, two of them wanted meringue grub birthday cakes).

Pudding looks good.

Halsall · 25/11/2024 21:47

I grant you that Chiara's plate looks very nice

Blueberrycreampie · 25/11/2024 21:47

Lovely 'STP'!
