Watching CJ and Jesse try to communicate is painful! I used to teach active listening skills and it's actually a very difficult thing to do, especially as there's such bad faith between the two of them. Neither of them are willing to drop their resentment, and for CJ to say, I hear you, but you're just wrong, shows she's really not willing to listen to his side at all. Funny how they were both so much more likeable with different partners. Don't hold out much hope for these two, tbh.

yes, I must admit, it was quite a lame excuse!

Trouble is I tend to tell the truth and expect others to do so, so I am not a very good judge of character!

I think she’s resilient enough. She’s just frustrated beyond belief.

Has it been revealed where Jesse knew Mike from, or is it going to be forgotten? I tend to watch it later and have been known to snooze through some of it and miss bits.

Mike was on The Apprentice NZ and came third and they're both from Aukland where I'm sure Mike regards himself as a local 'celebrity'

Dammit, I really want to Google now. The only couple that seems likely to last is Brit and Sam, but only if they can sort out the visa thing.

The visa thing is sorted easily by him getting a new job - which he can apply for without risking his existent visa. It’s a non-issue.

I've done a bit of careful googling. He was on The Apprentice 3 years ago, was an auctioneer and had a spiritual awakening 3 years before that. The beard was definitely less curtain-y.

CJ need a good make-up artist and shouldn't be allowed to do her own. I do get the impression they all do their own make-up on NZ MAFS and some of it is eye-poppingly bad- also see Reiki Red's unironic use of blue eyeliner.

She's definitely reached her limit. I just don't know if she has a limited capacity to cope, or if Jesse's behaviour has been so unreasonable it would have been too much for anyone. Hopefully we'll find out more tomorrow.
What we have been shown so far hasn't put her in the best light. The way she spoke to Jesse after the dinner party was belittling. Calling him immature and referencing wanting adult conversation etc. And her complaining at the 'intervention' that no-one had asked for her side of the story when she had been given an opportunity to say what she wanted without him interrupting was odd. But of course what we get is only the edited version.

Catching up and just watching Friday's episode this afternoon.

CJ not allowed to give her side of the story or say how hurt she feels. John saying "I don't want to hear it" is insulting. She feels that she doesn't have a say. No wonder she's hurt.

I would say this could be the edit, except she is saying she can't tell her side which she wouldn't do if she had been heard.

I liked Jo saying her pain cup was full to the brim and she needed some wins. So why didn't they ask for her side and for Jesse to reflect?

I'm not saying she's right, but she needs to get the words out.

The problem is @MyrtleStrumpet that we didn't see the whole intervention. The version we saw started with CJ having the floor, and Jesse not allowed to comment, so she definitely had some opportunity to put her side across. And John shut her down in the later part of what we saw saying something like "we dont want to hear it, you've said it over and over" or words to that effect. So maybe they'd continued to go round and round in circles but we didn't see that?

That's true and it gets edited only after the end result is known to force the viewer into taking sides.

I keep wondering if CJ thought Jesse was going to buy condoms, pushing his luck there, and thought the toothbrush was just a blind 😄
