Bake Off 24 Part Two: a meltingly light and fluffy thread taking us all the way to the final.

The last thread filled up fast in a heated debate about Alison's acrobatic antics. Join us here for the last two episodes.

Whose patisserie will carry them through the semi final and who will experience the frustration of missing out on the final 3? Will anyone fall off a stool, workbench or just trip over their own feet? Will the finalists surpass their previous efforts or will the last showstopper be a series of damp squibs? Not long to find out.

Must be Georgie after all that surely?

GetSetFake · 26/11/2024 21:03

Christian's mad flavours have let him down again. Looks like it's Georgie.

Why are they only trying one of the cakes?

Are they all the same type? That's unusual for a showstopper.

SomethingWycked · 26/11/2024 21:04

Georgie for the win!

AnImaginaryCat · 26/11/2024 21:04

Yes I think it's got to be Georgie.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 26/11/2024 21:05

Georgie has been more consistent. Christiaan has blown it with the showstopper and Dylan has just had a 'mare.

GetSetFake · 26/11/2024 21:05

I still think raspberry liquorice could work but not with lemon thyme!

Surprised they only tasted one, but of course they need bulk cake for the masses.

Georgie’s showstopper was beautiful.

Yep, the cakes are to feed the 5000 waiting outside.

As someone born and bred near where Georgie lives
can I claim this as a home win even if I haven't lived there for over thirty years 🤣
Surely that show stopper will have done it for her

Georgie’s showstopper was beautiful.

It was! And they said it tasted good. She wasn’t my fave but happy for her, looks she’s bagged it.

LilacLilyBird · 26/11/2024 21:07

Christiaans cake looked the best to me because it was so modern imho

I hope they don't hold his strong flavours against him because it was a brave and unique flavour

'Very Christiaan' as Paul put it

NigelHarmansNewWife · 26/11/2024 21:07

It looked great, but that pink collar on the top tier of Christian's hanging cake was a lot of thick buttercream. Probably a bit much.

Georgie's buttercream decoration was beautifully done.

PrincessScarlett · 26/11/2024 21:07

I bet Georgie's cake gets gobbled up first.

NotMeForBakeoff · 26/11/2024 21:08

She's won it

She’s got Alison to thank for it if she wins after she talked her down off the ledge last time.

starrymidnight · 26/11/2024 21:08

Am I the only one who thought all the showstoppers looked a total mess?!

NotMeForBakeoff · 26/11/2024 21:08

This is making me hungry.

crumblingschools · 26/11/2024 21:09

@LilacLilyBird didn’t they say it was slightly over baked whereas Georgie’s was baked perfectly

Not for the first time in a Bake Off final. Remember the wedding cake disaster which Frances ended up winning?

Compash · 26/11/2024 21:09

Georgie always has the most beautiful dresses, wonder where she gets them? (Missing the point...) 😁

Hedjwitch · 26/11/2024 21:09

Be pissed off if it's Georgie. Christiaan was best across the 3 challenges

Yes, they normally have to do 3 different cakes. Georgie's looked very pretty, but quite basic flavour.

friendconcern · 26/11/2024 21:10

Gutted for Dylan.
